“Face the harsh reality we live in a computer simulation program.”

With a discoverable set of fairly dependable rules, ie, the logic of the program (what we call “laws of nature”) which dictate the behavior of everything in the simulation.

In other words, a creation by a God-like entity. Someone we call God for short?

Very possible.

God is the Master Programmer. He created everything and without Him, nothing was created or existed. The Program was good. It worked flawlessly until a virus was introduced by a character named Satan. This put stress on the environment of the characters. Choices made by the characters determined whether the characters would continue on to the next level (God level?) or be destroyed along with Satan. All God required was for everyone to get along (love one another) and love Him in return for all of the blessings (including life) that He has bestowed.
