Infant probably means they are still in a diaper. Getting their diaper changed and privates cleaned by an infected person. Poor kid - hope it isn’t too bad. I always hated it when my kids were so little and got sick because they couldn’t understand and so defenseless.

I agree, that is a likely scenario. Gay sex seems to be the super highway of transmission for now but there are other ways to pass on monkeypox. Had the original super highway been closed, the number of cases would be much lower. I guess that would have hurt feelings.
If only the poor child was infected in such an innocent way. But that is not how STDs are transmitted.
