DC killed Superman.
I think Scarlett sued because her movie lost money because it was streamed at the same time it opened in theaters.
She ah-ite...
I know I’m almost alone in this but the whole idea of adults going to see super hero movies is halfway between weird and creepy. These are children’s comic book stories. I just don’t get it.
Untrue! I was waiting for a big screen live action “Iron Man” since I was about 11 years old- I would have never missed it.
They’re using it as a tax write-off so they’ll never be able to show it ever plus they said it was Crap anyway
“IT crowd! By far the funniest show ever put to film.’
I’ll see your “IT Crowd” and raise you a “News Radio”.
I wouldn't mind watching it if I could stream it without paying and not have to sit through the whole thing.
“I’ll see your “IT Crowd” and raise you a “News Radio”.”
As an old time Kids in the Hall fan, News Radio is also an all time favorite. I loved each and every character in that show
Cause they aren’t. The simple fact is comics are the American Mythology. Over and above the fact that the stories have evolved with the audience and are often not kids stories. These are our myths, these are our legends. Even people who never read comics know a lot of the core concepts. “With great power comes great responsibility” you don’t have to have ever read a Spiderman comic to know that line. Everybody knows the Superman basics, orphaned alien raised by farmers. Watching these movies is the same as Greeks going to the theaters, just watching our myths re-enacted.
first scene taken from original Bat Girl Script.
Bat Girl arrives at the scene of the crime.
Police Officer: Who are you?
Bat Girl: I’m Bat person.
Police Officer: Bat Person? that’s nuts, we already got BATMAN. We don’t need you. Light up the sky and get BATMAN here quick.
I was waiting for Cyclops to light-off on the silver screen. Wasn't disappointed.
Or it’s childish crap.
Here is another movie that will tank.

Or you’re closed minded and incapable of accepting you could be wrong.
Careful reading is a valuable life skill. You ought to look into someday. My first comment on this topic was a concession that I might be nearly alone in this opinion.
Consider that even this level of filmmaking is an art form. Art is a matter of taste. Yours and mine differ. Deal with it.
You’re not making statements of taste. You’re making statements of value. You wanna say you don’t like it, fine don’t care. You declare it childish that’s you trying to elevate yourself by pushing others down.
It’s not so much creepy that adults would want to see it, after all, storytelling is always some form of fiction, i.e. fantasy.
If your only form of entertainment are stories that could literally be true, that encompasses very little. Reality composed of cold hard facts tends to be both boring and tedious.
All you are really saying is that you are incapable of engaging with obviously fantastic stories.
What does creep me out is taking a concept completely geared to children and trying to make it dark and edgy for adults. Dark and edgy doesn’t work well with capes and superpowers.
Okay. Here’s the deal. If you want to claim comic books aren’t childish, fine.
I am very capable of engaging with fantastic fiction, I just don’t find this stuff fascinating.
