It was a good place to grow up.
My family has owned/operated farms in this county since 1889. Before that in Coryell County. Before that farther east.
My Dad’s grandfather (grandmother’s side) was born in the Republic of Texas.
It is home.
I was fortunate years ago to be in San Antonio , and took my pipes.Played them at the Alamo, and then spent a day in Helotes at the Highland Games.
I was kidnapped by a couple of fellow McDonald Clansman and played the ppipes at an Ice House there in Helotes. We had Latinos and Texans on the beer and dancing.
Thats what wearing a kilt can do in Texas, LOL.
It was a day I will never forget. I love Texas.
