Well, it is 100 light-years away, after all. I’d be a lot more skeptical if they did claim to know for sure.

"How many Tesla recharges will that take?" Let's just say that a Tesla could do 100mph for 3 hours before needing a charge.
Let's also say there is a recharge station exactly every 300 miles precisely on course.
Let's also say the charging station can recharge the battery to 100% in just 1 hour.
If you leave on Tuesday, you'll arrive on Friday. 893 million years later. {;^)
