Sickening moment man knocks shopper, 36, out cold in random one-punch attack from behind at New York City mall... before security guard wanders past unconscious body and does NOTHING

Security cameras captured the shocking moment a suspect sucker-punched a man at a New York City mall, leaving the victim unconscious.

Video released by the New York Police Department on Monday shows a man standing in line at a register when two men approached him from behind.

One of the men, wearing black basketball shorts and a white t-shirt with black sneakers, soon crouches down behind the man and punches him in the side of the face, causing the 36-year-old victim to fall face-down.

The two men then start to walk away, only for the suspect in the black shorts to return moments later and leave once he saw the man's motionless body.

Others in line at the Kings Plaza Mall in Brooklyn backed away after the attack, apparently stunned by what had just transpired, with one woman seen later moving the man's belongings closer to his lifeless body.

At one point, a security guard could be seen entering the frame, but casually walks past the scene even though the victim's body is still lying face down on the ground.

Authorities now say the unprovoked attack caused the victim 'serious physical injury,' and he was brought to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.

Police also say that the victim did not appear to know his attackers and no words were exchanged between the two of them before the man punched him at around 6pm on Saturday.

They are now looking for the men involved in the attack, and have released video footage showing the suspect in the black basketball shorts exiting a black Honda Civic that evening.

Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.

I’m so glad I live in a rural area. Below is a statement made by our Sheriff in regards to an incident where a woman came home and found a man in her house:

“The question often comes up about what you can do if someone breaks in your home. Please know I fully support your right to defend your home and make sure that it is the last house they break in to. If you do not have the means or desire to handle it that way call 911 and we will be on our way.”

"We are gearing up for Rwanda-level violence in our cities."

My question is what will be the demarcation line between the blue city barbarians and the red (even blue) suburbs? I realize the suburbs have their crime areas, sporadic home invasions and such, but I have yet to see BLM or Antifa or even drug mafia types organize to invade the suburbs in mass.

Maybe just one more St. George Floyd incident? Or maybe some charismatic radical leader who says stop destroying our communities. The targets (wealth&privilege) lies elsewhere.

Your advice is wise, but not all people can leave their jobs, families, responsibilities, nor incur the moving expenses for a safer neighborhood. Family is why I and the Wife have yet to move out of California.

Personally, I'm surprised city trash hasn't made an organized effort on the suburbs. But then, they're not the smartest critters OR maybe they know what armed resistance is awaiting them. Your take, Sir?

The anger is already there. But folks won’t take life or death risks like go-for-broke home invasions out in the suburbs until they are literally starving. Then, they will take wild chances.

This will result in shoot to kill at long range vigilantism.

Scoped ARs will beat machetes at 200 yards every time. After word of brutal home invasions get around, (families tortured, raped, murdered etc), the gloves will come off.

You're probably correct. It will take a complete breakdown of basic subsistence for the savages to move to where there may still be some goods.

I would think that many of the savages have more than just machetes. However, once the suburbanites organize (which many have), they would make short order of any group marching down their streets or from behind.

I believe the biggest threat would come from the Cartels. They know how to use their weapons, torture for effect, and are highly organized with guerilla tactics.

My other concern is how fast would a Governor call out the NG for a town under siege?

I wouldn’t count on the NG or police even existing. They all have homes and families ...

Most suburbanites in the northeast are wimps who call the cops for everything. Don’t know where you live but I don’t think of the suburbs as macho country.

Love the Marines who honored my step-Dad… Master Sgt Air Force who passed in late 1980’s. He was too young to leave us. In retirement he moved to Oceanside. Great move because he enjoyed the company of so many serving and these young guys loved him. He was always humorous …even in most dire situations in life. They gave him a full military salute at his funeral… my Dad was so moved by this…. He said he could only hope that anyone would honor him the same. My Dad honored my Step dad and his service as well… my Dad served and went on with his life. My step Dad gave his 20 plus years…Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia… all those secret bombing missions…. When he retired the Congress of this US took away half of his pension and then several years later cancelled out his spouse, my Mom from receiving any pension. After he passed it was 12 years later we determined that she should be covered under Tricare. A govt healthcare program. They screwed him and her every step of the way. He was so very worried before he passed…he shared his concerns with me…and this from a man who never did this! When you go to gov agency bureaucrats you get nothing!
My Mom just turned 89. She is now reliant on HUD and other programs for housing and care. It should not be this way…
