Ping!
Glennon did this why?
Wrong way driver at 1:00 a.m. No mention of dui charge.
To try and help?
Why would I want to help a wrong way interstate cruiser. They are either crazy, stoned or drunk. Let them sink. One of these bastards killed a close high school friend on the by pass around Paris Texas just months after my friend’s graduation.
I traveled that bridge twice a day for 31 years going to and from work.....I could tell some stories about things I saw happen on it but I never saw a wrong way driver.
Sheesh
Perhaps this driver realized the problem and tried to pull off to the side rather than hit someone.
I hearcua.
There’s another story out of Miami, another wrong way driver on the highway, driving on a suspended license mind you, killed 5 people and he lived.
SMH
Billy Joe MacAllister drove off the Buckman Bridge
How do they know which way we are going?
No this is the one where the female driver drove wrong way into a suv, jumped out and some how hijacked a FEDEX stopped by the accident and continued wrong way until striking a building a starting a fire. The driver then dove into the St John’s River to escape approaching cops.
That’s pretty long bridge.
How the heck did he do it?.....................
Not sure.
Yeah it’s 3 miles long.
She musta went off right at the south end given the water was only waist deep......luckily for her.
Everyone going to Journalism school should be required to look up the definition of “careened”. The car may have “plunged” into the river, or “fell” into the river, but I doubt that it “careened”.
Journalism school?.....they still have those?
Should call them Propaganda Schools.
I grew up less than 5 miles from there. The river is 3 miles wide at that point. Its not that deep until you get to the middle. So I can definitely see how he could have carried her and waded back to dry land.
How the hell she managed to get into the lanes going the other way I’m not sure. There is a guardrail separating traffic on the Buckman bridge. I thought I remembered it being concrete.
I live less than 5 miles from there now.
On the south (Mandarin side) there are now toll lanes in both directions.
Right before you get to the bridge heading to the westside there is a large median break.
She could have crossed over there and kerplunk.
