Cities in Europe topped the list of bike-friendly places thanks to high-quality bicycling infrastructure like bike lanes and weather conditions that include a high number of "cycleable" days.

Interesting that you expect cars which are obliged to stop at red lights and stop signs to give respect to bikes while you breeze right through the stop on your bike. This is annoying if I manage to safely pass a bike and come to a stop sign. I stop, and the bike goes on through and I am stuck behind it again. Your approach sounds very much like "rules for thee but not for me" all the while complaining that cars don't show you respect.
Bentonville Arkansas not mentioned.
Hmm...
I guess this place is the MTB capital... You can’t just get on a bike and simply go anywhere here. The town is still building and is building the bike trails around existing buildings.
Too many needles, pop ya tires.
Anybody who expected San Fran to appear on this list has little-to-no experience with bicycles.
But Lombard isn't the worst. Between Leavenworth and Hyde, Filbert street has a grade in excess of 30%.
That was my first thought too. Some mild rolling hills are okay but the flatter the better for bicycle riders. Especially the more casual riders.
Today it's a few bicycles and about 800,000 BMWs and Audis. :)
It’s still Cantonese - a while back they were even talking about renaming the city “Canton” again, since it is such an important trade gateway to the West. Under Xi’s rule, that is unlikely to happen - China’s zero-COVID policy has stopped international travel to China almost completely and done immense damage to the many small- and medium-sized Chinese businesses in the Pearl River Delta. Klaus Schwab must be proud - and envious - of Xi’s skill at smashing the middle class.
So used to see them riding on sidewalks.
Remember an incident in Newport Beach. A lady was knocked down by a biker riding on the sidewalk. A police lieutenant commented "the rider probably felt safer on the sidewalk than on the road" LOL!
Try and ride a bike in San Francisco and Portland with so many needles the only thing you’ll hear is psss psss psss psss
Well, you are just an a hole then
I agree completely, and it’s one of the reasons I’ve cut back my riding. People on electric bikes fly by me too, I’ve had several close calls. I don’t have a good answer - getting sedentary Americans off the couch and on a bike - any kind of bike - is a tough job.
