Wasn't NYC supposed to be under water by now?

And, yes, they should start using the term petroleum products instead of fossil fuels.

Notice on the graph how the price of gas soared right after Biden's inauguration? This article claiming that "renewables" are cheaper than natural gas is only true if the cost of natural gas is artificially increased by Biden dictates.

In a true free market economy, natural gas is cheaper by a long shot. In case anyone hasn't noticed, Biden has destroyed the free market economy and substituted a state controlled economy, dictating everything from the car you drive, to the medicine you take, to the way you heat and cool your house.

These people want us freezing in the dark, or sweating in the unbearable heat.

You cannot power modern civilization with wind and solar.

It does really matter what an individual Kw of power costs. What matters is how many you can economically and reliably produce 24 hours per day. Even ‘cheap’ electricity that is intermittent and dependent on the unpredictably of the sun shining or the wind blowing cannot power a first world economy.

Thanks for posting that.
It is so hard to get to the bottom of their “facts”.
Even the “experts” don’t know the whole story.

Anthropomorphic Climate change. The Alinsky/Commie flavor of the past few decades.

If one considers the actual cost of electrical generation, i.e. not skewed by government intervention, wind power is among the most expensive sources due to the high cost of maintenance and the intermittent nature of the wind. Solar is also expensive due to the fact you can only generate power on average 50% of the time and the need for large area arrays due to the diffuse nature of solar radiation. Solar photovoltaic is even more expensive due to the expensive raw materials need to produce the solar cells.

The Completely Fraudulent "Levelized Cost Of Electricity"

Could you explain what that is, how it is arrived at and why it is fraudulent?

The article concerns a host of people all living in the electric past

When the time is ripe, Elon Musk will reveal inexpensive and small nuclear power generators that will provide clean juice for not only EV’s but for many other electric power users as well. One his companies will make them

Elon Musk is a disruptor and the necessity for electricity to charge batteries is within his purview.

IRENA and others are lying about solar and wind generated electricity being cheaper then coal, gas, nuclear.
They are subsidized at great cost to the nations people and industry.

Why are the electric rates so much higher in California?
20 cents to 30 cents a kw and climbing higher. So no a/c in the hot summers and not enough heat in the winters for everyone except to the politicians taxpayer subsidized homes.

This is to subsidize the solar and windmill scams and pay the big state pensions. The taxpayer gets nothing but higher costs for everything.

From another article: Tennessee has among the lowest electricity prices in the country, according to the most recent data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The state’s average industrial price of electricity per kilowatt-hour was 6.31 cents as of May.
