On Wednesday, NBC News reported that Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) is privately flustered and worried about the effectiveness of Democratic attacks on him as a wealthy elitist who uses his political office to enrich himself.
This comes as Democratic Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes mounts a campaign to unseat him in the midterms — and as the most recent poll from Marquette University shows Barnes leading by 7 points with likely voters.

“The Raw Story is considered a hyperpartisan media outlet and has been described as “junk news”.”
I have to agree. It is indeed junk news.
That description is from WIKIPEDIA, home of the Left Wing Partisan editors.
I'm just sick that he is not more appreciated.

Wasn’t Raw Story the outlet that released the completely fake story during Plamegate alleging Dick Cheney was being given 48 hours by Fitzgerald (Fitzpatrick??)to clear up his personal affairs and he was going to be arrested for the outing of Valerie Plame??
True. But Hillary had 100% recognition. People barely have any idea who Barnes is. Polling so far is for/against Johnson. The heavily financed heavy hitters’ advertising against him is just filthy. And unrelenting. Johnson is handicapped by it - and the risk of attacking a black man.
Johnson just learned an important lesson the Bush Family still doesn’t understand.
No one ever won a war by ONLY playing defense.
I totally agree with you. Do your fellow citizens share your view of Senator Johnson?
Everyone I discuss politics with is on Johnson's (and President Trump's) side. But I don't talk politics with very many.... even family. I am sad to say that some I do talk to are weary of the fight. I'm getting older, with no children to worry over, and am tempted, too. No Barnes or Johnson signs up yet, but I have Johnson's now and it will be up really soon, beside the "Lets Go Brandon" ones.
Don’t forget how Obama came on the scene as an Illinois senator running against Alan Keyes.
I want him to win, too.
And I don’t want to just talk past you on the point I made, which is that he didn’t call some of these DOJ/FBI traitors in when he had the power to do so. He just talked about them and deferred repeatedly to “ongoing investigations”.
My point is not oblivious to the fact that the Senate cannot prosecute. But they can get facts out there, under oath, in order to re-direct the narrative in our favor.
When it comes to wielding power, take clues from how the dimowits do it. And then it’s use it, or lose it. And we lost it.
Mandela Barnes looks like George Floyd.
This story is ‘Rats whistling past the graveyard.
Wisconsinites LOVE our Senator Johnson. He is NOT a RINO by any measure. Sure, I’ve disagreed with a few of his votes, but he always clearly explains what he’s doing and why. And NOT in a condescending way.
He was a successful businessman in Wisconsin before he ran. He did NOT enrich himself through legislation. THAT IS A LIE. His business is in a trust. He can’t touch it or any earnings.
He’s squeaky-clean. He is beholding to no one.
‘ManDeadbeat’ Barnes is just that. He is the most radical, leftist Socialist you’d ever want to meet. He is currently our Lt. Governor! He has lost his driver’s license from not paying parking tickets and has had the State Patrol drive him around TO CAMPAIGN FUNCTIONS!
How is that not against the law?
Also, he’s behind on his condo mortgage and fees. He’s a chocolate version of Deadbeat Bernie! The guy has NEVER had a job in his life! Also, curiously, ALL of the Dems running against him DROPPED OUT OF THE RACE right before the Dem Primary last Tuesday. WHO DOES THAT? They were bought off.
Senator Johnson is a good man, and unless Soros and Zuckerterd have their hands in our election in November, he will win. Wisconsin HAS passed legislation to keep the both of them and their money the h#ll OUT of our state!

Johnson always issued reports, appeared on countless radio programs and occasional TV to make his case ... to get the word out ... just like the Dems do. The difference is - and this is BIG - the media ignored it and undercut it and gave the other side carte blanch to attack it, and many in his own party did about the same thing. Crickets ...
I remember well one interview with Hugh Hewitt and Hewitt shouted, "Name names!" and Johnson said he couldn't because of an agreement another senator had made prior to some testimony.
His work is not easy.
“Aug 10, 2016 · Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump, 52% to 37%, among likely Wisconsin voters. Clinton and Trump face almost even trustworthiness numbers.”
Good Times! :)
“How do you explain folks that were poor before going in to politics and are now rich? Where did they get their money from?”
‘ManDeadbeat’ Barnes IS strictly in it for the money. Think old Beto down in TX still sitting on millions in his campaign slush funds!
Barnes won’t WORK for The People of Wisconsin - but he WILL take their money!
See my Post #32. Yes. We. Do. Ron Johnson IS one of the Good Guys. :)
“My point is not oblivious to the fact that the Senate cannot prosecute. But they can get facts out there, under oath, in order to re-direct the narrative in our favor.”
Senator Ron Johnson was the one that so unnerved Hillary! while grilling her about Benghazi that she shouted he now-famous, “At this point, what difference does it make!?!?!”
Remember THAT? He needs to use that in an ad. Not sure why he hasn’t.
I absolutely remember that and it was a stellar moment, perfectly frozen in time. Credit where credit is due!
Barnes is a serious greenie, and has been inconsequential as Lt. Gov. pretty anonymous to most citizens until now. But he is getting Five Million dark money (which I read as Soros money).
Even with mail-in / drop box shenanigans, the trumpeting of those obviously bogus polls is enough to have turned the election. Only a tiny, very small fraction of voters would be affected, but that’s literally all it took. There are enough “soft” GOP voters who would have seen all of that wall to wall coverage of that poll and thought “well, this is a lost cause anyway” and just decided not to bother.
