They should suspended him the whole year but the NFL doesn't have the gonads. Now he'll return in time to face the worst team in the league and it will become a must-see game.

I know many of you could care less but when the season starts You’ll be there in front of your flatscreens.

Suspending him for a whole year would have put the issue behind them until next season. Now it will come back just as football heats up. Wait for all the racial stuff come out and they’ll blame republicans. Plays right into our divided times.

Be real funny if Baker Mayfield goes on to have an All-Pro year with Carolina.

Between him and Johnny Football, the Browns sure can pick ‘em.

Can’t imagine what Cleveland was thinking by bringing him on to the team, but then again, the Browns seem to be good at self-destructing

It’s the Browns. Not really like we have to worry about them being in the playoff.

The bonehead sports article is a little light on details. Like what DEEEshaun’s crime was, exactly.

They should have suspended him for at least two years. His contract was written so he loses only a tiny amount of money for this year. Other players have gotten multiple year suspensions for a DUI or lesser offenses. Compared to what other players have received this guy got nothing. Look at the baseball player Trevor Brower he got two years for less than what DeShaun Watson got.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson will serve an 11-game unpaid suspension, pay a $5 million fine and undergo professional evaluation and treatment as part of a settlement with the NFL following accusations of sexual misconduct by two dozen women.

So, in your opinion, due process be damned. Here I was under the impression that conservatives believed in the innocent until proven guilty form of justice. You, and the NFL, are no better than a communist form of justice. Now I believe the NFL should have the right to suspend him without pay until the case is adjudicated, bit the fine should not exist. Accusations,, regardless of the number involved should remain a non factor until evidence is heard, and a verdict is returned.

Oh, and I won't be at my flat screen when the season starts either.

Only looked this up to see who he is and what he had done. If he is found guilty, he should be blackballed from the NFL

Professional sports? What’s that?

I’ve gotten so far removed from that crap in the last 10 or 15 years but I barely know it exists except when we have a high profile professional athlete criminal. Actually I don’t notice many of those.

Look for the Browns to hand him another $5 million guaranteed just for being warm and fuzzy to cover his expenses

He’s playing for the Browns, isn’t that punishment enough?

In criminal court he was acquitted. In civil court he settled. In the NFL justice system he is guilty? It makes no sense to me because I have seen plenty of videos of NFL players punching and kicking tiny females and what I can see with my own eyes as having happened (assaults) and they walk away with a couple of weeks suspension? We will never know what happened in those rooms but rape and violence did not happen. He was young, stupid and totally misread what these massages entail. Probably because he had at least one massage that entailed just that! He didn’t sucker punch a woman in an elevator. He didn’t kick a woman in a hotel hallway. He didn’t hurt anyone but himself. Bring back the Morals Clause! That’ll end all the bad behavior
