Well, the end game is not to replace meat production with plant production, or even “bug production” to keep feeding everyone.
The idea is incremental shutting down of industries to create a general food shortage, then famine. First you can’t get meat but you can still get “impossible meat”. Then you can’t get “impossible meat” but you can still get “bug meat”. Then you can’t get anything.
The Impossible Whooper is pretty good IMO. However, it’s loaded with sodium, calories and fat, so not actually any healthier than the regular Whopper.
And so they'll start using it instead of meat without even bothering to tell you.
Complete loss of taste is one of the side effects of Covid.
“Normal or with meat?”
WATCH IT! The “with meat” may be a cricket burger!
That's like going to a nightclub and asking a person "are you regular or straight?"

So much for trusting Burger King to make a burger. Tricking customers loses their trust. How did some idiot get the job to make that decision?
Meat substitutes have been around for a long time. Because a percentage of our population have food restrictions for religious or health reasons. I believe Impossible Foods has used science to find out what makes a meat taste like meat, and they have developed a process where this flavor can be had without crossing over into the meat category. I agree that the taste of an Impossible burger is satisfactory — no, its not quite as tasty as beef; but Impossible sausage is a tasty as a pork sausage — good for you Impossible Scientists.
But no one needs to push this new technology, the climate enthusiasts believe it will help reduce the CO2 emissions, but meat is not a major issue with that. Nuclear power will reduce the CO2 emissions and in the meantime, we can eat what we want. (I eat some Impossible Food products, but I eat far more meat (normal) products at this time. In the future, who knows)

time to short Burger King stock!
I’ve dodged covid. Vaccinated and boosted helped.
Just ask for hamburger. By definition a hamburger IS MEAT! The other is veggie burger. Why make things so complicated?
A lot of the time the additives they put into the “healthy” alternative is worse for you than the original.
Sounds like the “New Coke” fail.
Why not? That might be where they shipped all of the unused patties from the US.

Just give me some 85/15 of the real deal and call it a day, its about dead even with the fake stuff in calories and fat. 90/10 ground beef pulls ahead has less calories, less fat, more protein and no carbs. If you are doing Keto the fake stuff is off limits as some phony beef can be as high as 12 grams of carbs for a 4oz. Patty. 8 grams of carbs is about avg. between the various brands of this stuff.
Too funny that Greenies pushing this stuff tout the vitamins and minerals vs beef. But it isn’t naturally occurring it is added. No thanks I’ll just take a multi vitamin.
