How does America ever come together again?
WND ^ | 08/15/2022 | Pat Buchanan

When 30 FBI agents showed up at Mar-a-Lago to cart off boxes of documents, it was an authorized, legitimate and justified procedure to retrieve national security secrets being illegally kept there.

Or it was an unprecedented regime raid on the home and office of the foremost political rival of President Joe Biden that called to mind a "Third World country," the East German Stasi, the KGB or the Gestapo.

And Jan. 6, 2021?

That was a riot, a disgraceful breach of the Capitol, involving assaults on Capitol cops, actions that deserved to be and are being punished.

No, it was more than that. Far more. It was an "insurrection," a "fascist coup," an act of treason led by far-right extremists to abort the transfer of power from the winner of the election of 2020 to the loser. It ranks right up there with the 1814 burning of the Capitol by the British.

Such is the magnitude of the divide in America, a divide that extends far beyond our clashing views of Jan. 6 and the Mar-a-Lago raid.

Consider abortion. Before the 1960s, abortion was almost universally regarded as a shameful and criminal act. Doctors who performed abortions were disgraced and sometimes sent to prison.

But after the Dobbs decision by the Supreme Court declared that Roe v. Wade in 1973 was wrongly decided, restoration of women's right to an abortion is being championed by half the nation.

The other half of America yet believes abortion involves the killing of an unborn innocent child.

Part of America celebrates the Supreme Court's decision to declare marriage equality for homosexuals…

A good start would be to Deport the 81 Million Biden voters.

You mean dead people, voting machines and poll workers.

Nothing good ever comes from the left. Nothing. All they do is tear down and destroy. Their future looks very bleak. Our futures are still promising if we can somehow shed ourselves of the left.

I’m getting from it that, “no matter how stupid, corrupt or inept the democrats are, blacks still vote for them.”

Blue state America in conjunction with NATO and the UN would find a pretext to attack Red State America Red state Americans would find themselves fighting masses of Arabs and other Muzzards, Chinese and Africans all paid for by Wall Street/K Street. This would be a war combining the worst aspects of the US WBTS and the Paraguayan War of the Triple Alliance as the goal would be extermination of Red State Americans so replacement populations could be moved in while Red State survivors would be scattered around the Blue States and kept either on reservations or into urban ghettos.

Some political positions are beyond any possible reconciliation or compromise. A re-reading of the Declaration of Independence, is very enlightening, in view of the parallels that may be drawn between the situation with the King of England and the American colonies, and the Deep State today and the US citizens who make up the electorate.

Civil War ping. BroJoeK, X, Bullsnipe.

Northeast is still controlling DC, still stirring up trouble against everyone else, and still sucking up the money.

My liberal neighbors are not the problem.

The problem is the illegitimate Federal Government, period, (which includes the msm)

I can’t see a civil war erupting because there would be no military force to support the secessionist side. And in this case it is more like the parents kicking out the overaged kids who overstayed their welcome (the leftist fringes).

If it happens, I think it would be a political rather than military conflict. As people have shown, some agglomeration of states in the heartland would start the process by declaring independence from the DC government. They would very likely claim ownership of the name of the country and the Constitution, with amendments to allow the restoration of excluded states on a partial basis, for example, WA and OR east of the Cascades, CO other than Denver-Boulder, AZ if not an initial member without PHX, NV without Las Vegas.

The question would be, how much of the existing military would be willing to support that newly declared nation, and how much of it would remain loyal to the DC government? Then a second question, would that loyal to DC segment of the military be willing to engage with whatever military forces the new entity could develop, and to what end? If the secession were ratified by large voting majorities then a military incursion would be pretty much the same idea as Russia invading Ukraine to get rid of an unwanted central authority. And it would probably have similar results.

Presumably, either Trump or de Santis would be declared president of the new entity, Biden would remain president of the rump. The rump would probably also lay claim to the name of the nation and the Constitution although why is unclear to me, as they regularly ignore it anyway.

There would also be little point in a successful emergent heartland taking on the excluded states in a military campaign, assuming they had the firepower to attempt it, but if the entire military defected to the new entity, then they could probably occupy whatever parts of the excluded states they wished to control. Ports and military facilities, highways and railroads leading to them, etc, might be a viable acquisition.

One could foresee the eastern and western portions of the excluded states not getting along and quickly devolving into two separate entities. Instead of being 10% of the USA, California would be about 25% of the reduced former USA, and there would be almost a third as many people in the west coast portion as the east coast portion.

The heartland component could probably pick up Alberta and Saskatchewan as additional states with similar politics and culture. That would be a somewhat different procedure than secession of states, as Canadian provinces can only secede through referendum. Quebec has had two goes at that in 1980 and 1995, both failed by a narrow margin. The percentage of Alberta and Saskatchewan residents likely willing to endorse separation and unity with that kind of USA might be at least half, right now it is a lot less mainly because there is no interest in merging with socialist America as an alternative to being stuck in socialist Canada.

So in summary, I see the problem being 75% political and 25% military, if the political will is there, the military questions will come into sharper focus. I don’t know which way the military might break down, the leadership would be likely to stay loyal to the DC government but the rank and file might be more prone to sympathy for the heartland.

FBI and CIA would obviously not come along and parallel organizations would be required as an urgent first priority. China for example would attempt to exploit the situation and their influence would need to be monitored and reduced.

It would improve the chances of success if AZ and NM could be incorporated because then a longer border wall could be constructed. If AZ and NM are in the rump portion, then the flow of illegal migrants is bound to increase as political pressures would emerge in Mexico to annex the southwest (the Aztlan theme). No better way to annex than to conquer by demography.

All of the above is theoretical, I don’t know if this is how things might go, but I do know this, there is no uniting the two halves of the culture, the left half will only settle for complete control and domination. This has always been their goal and when they are in the minority (as in the Reagan years) they go underground and plan for the next opportunity. You have to realize that the demographics favor them in many ways, with increased (partly illegal) immigration, indoctrination of the young, and the sexual divide in politics all playing roles in making “our” side weaker every decade, unless we can govern so effectively that any idiot will be able to see what is better for them too. The problem is, there are millions of idiots.

no military force to support the secessionist side.

Not now. It takes about a month or two to get an amry going. It in the mean time each governor has a militia they can put up. Between volunteers and defections from the USA I'd say the secessionists would be in the advantage.

I’m not even sure about Iowa with it being politics central every four years but I guess the East Coast has it’s New Hampshire. The Left coast will have to come up with their own place. Maybe Utah, they’re weird.

I figure a lot of states would end up splitting. The Southern half of IL is corn farmer country. Western KY and TN. I would say all of KY and TN but Nashville has been taken over by the left and someone in KY keeps voting for Mitch and they have dems for governors quite a lot. Lexington area probably. Most of OH and IN would probably be ok. WV and Western PA too. North GA as long as Atlanta and metro Atlanta is excluded.

It really all comes down to city mouse vs country mouse. Imagine what could become of the cities in the red states if all the leftists/dems moved to the Socialist States of America because they didn’t want to live in the New Constitutional Republic? Cities are kinda cool if you don’t have to constantly worry about getting killed or step over drug addicts on the sidewalk.

This is even bigger than Trump or any one person. This has been building up for a while

I will never come together with Socialists/Communists/Progressives sorry never gonna happen at all PERIOD!

Not ever going to happen. I will not get along with people who want to take way over 50 percent and give it to freeloaders. I will not get along with people who want to disarm law abiding people, the arm IRS agents, they will let everyone out of prison nd let them riot and do nothing to them, in addition having no cops thus having anarchy. I will not comply and get along with people who think there are 30 genders, and being thrown in jail for using the wrong pronoun.

NAH I Will never get along with people like this EVER FORGET IT!

America does not come together again.

There is only the question of how it breaks up and what replaces it.

That will be solved by civil war that depopulates most of the country. The future belongs to the survivors who show up for it. (Which is another way of saying; "I have no idea how it is going to turn out")

The people who do show up to make the future are all 5-10 years old right now. We must take good care of them.

“LGBT Indoctrination of children is huge!”

Agreed. A nasty one and a new one.

Would it be unfair to let gays live in peace but not promote and perhaps encourage their lifestyle to everyone else, especially our youth?

So let them have their perfect utopian hell all to themselves. And we’ll be happy to live in our own imperfect but real world.

Agreed, but we all know what will happen. Their portion will be a hellhole while ours is safe and prosperous. So they'll start flooding into our territory, saying, "You suck and you're wrong and you're inferior to us, and we DEMAND you let us live with you." And there'll be some idiots on our side who will want to let them in. Then we're right back where we started. Just like all the red states being invaded by liberals right now, and turning blue. It's a problem that never ends.
