As a result of your mention of Elizondo’s “somber” comment I did some searches and hit a Reddit UFO discussion on it with over 300 comments.
One of the most interesting comments was this:
“I can mentally handle being a zoo pet, though it would be disturbing to be a Westworld-style construct.
However, being an entirely digital entity created on a whim by a computer superintelligence for some cheap reason of idle scientific curiosity... that would be deeply, profoundly disturbing.”
Just looking at those two scenarios as possible examples—I stick to my original thought—some folks could handle either one, some folks would freak badly, and some folks would just “carry on” as normal.
I’m trying to find it in Sacramento, Springfield and Albany... 🤓
And the Black Congressional Caucus.
I dug deeper into the Reddit threads and one poster said something that should have been obvious to me—but I totally missed it!
Why are they using the UAP acronym now instead of the UFO acronym?
I thought it was just a stupid change for no reason.
I was so wrong.
The last letter in the UFO acronym is Object.
The last letter in the UAP acronym is Phenomena.
That means that .gov believes we are dealing with possible non-physical/material stuff.
That is a huge paradigm shift—right in front of our eyes.
One more redditor classic comment I just found:
“We were probably created by aliens to be the smartest farm animal on the ranch.Sort of a bipedal Border Collie.”

All we can do is extrapolate from our human experience, even if we stretch our imaginations to their breaking points.
Yet, some of the scientists who have commented on this have said that what we may encounter is nothing--NOTHING--like anything humans can imagine.
Just a glimpse of what they are may absolutely and permanently disorient us by introducing us to worlds that blind us with how different they are and how different reality actually is (i.e., it is not what we think it is).
We think 3 dimensionally, 4 or 5 at best. These beings may be infinitely beyond that.
As I said above, we cannot imagine anything we have never encountered in life.
But what is coming is possibly not even something comprehensible by our brains.
Whatever is coming...it may obliterate all that we've ever known or imagined just introducing itself into our world.
I am intellectually intrigued, but I think we are in for a surprise.
If we keep observing the finer details of the evolution of this issue (as you are doing so well), we can see that "disclosure" is occurring right before our eyes.

That is the kind of stuff Terence McKenna used to talk about—for example time just stops or starts working in weird ways that our brains cannot handle or magical creatures just start appearing and then disappearing right in front of us—on a mass scale, not just the one on one stuff that has been so common in human history (and dismissed as “anecdotes” by “experts”).
The arrogance of scientists has always filled me with a sense of foreboding—homo sapiens is always at their most annoying when they are *&^%ing up badly.

Statistics and probability are NOT evidence of ANYTHING apart the existence of statisticians.
The Old Testament (Genesis 6) and the Ethiopian Book of Enoch (which can be found online) speak of beings who watch the Earth (and have done so throughout time).
Several scientists, Garry Nolan for one (who is a non-believer BTW), have described these beings as having watched humanity for possibly a very long time. In fact, Nolan has referred to them as Watchers, and, as a non-believer, I don't think he knows the Biblical import and meaning of that term.
The Book of Enoch refers to these beings as the Fallen Ones and by other terms.
I am a believer, but am keeping an open mind as to what is going on here.
One fascinating UFO/alien story is the Nevada tall whites described by Charles James Hall.
He was a weather technician for the military who claims he interacted with alien creatures while servicing remote weather tracking “shacks” for the military.
The children of the tall whites look a lot like the standard greys, according to Hall, but the adults are very tall (seven or eight feet).
The children were friendly and played with Hall while the adults were very stand-offish and the males were borderline hostile.
Supposedly the tall whites lived in the Nevada desert for many centuries and had minimal human contact for most of that period.
Fascinating stuff—he is the only documented witness and of course the military is not verifying anything.
If you follow the UFO literature closely there is another tidbit there.
The children were allowed to “play” in small flying craft which are similar to the “eggs” that were seen in three different 1940s New Mexico incidents (Roswell, Zamora, “Trinity”—described in new Jacques Vallee book).
In all three cases small greys were identified by witnesses.
The amusing (or sad) part of all this is that these captured aliens were probably children which undoubtedly added to the confusion of both the aliens and the US military.

This is a very solid case—live witnesses, material recovered and still in labs, strong physical evidence of other kinds.
The best part is that it was in 1945 so the .gov cover-up was very sloppy—the troops doing it had just come back from the war (days before!) and just wanted to go home. They had no idea what the egg-shaped craft and its three inhabitants were about, and just hauled them off as ordered.
An amusing part is the government agency that was responsible for the data, aliens, craft and physical evidence—it was the Atomic Energy Agency (no Majestic or similar .org existed at the time)—they kept it secret from other parts of the government—another reason the coverup was sloppy—and the reason that searches of military records over the years missed the case.
