Until we can break the false climate change mindset, we are dooming America to a miserable existence.
Once upon a time when things went terribly wrong in the world, it was believed to be the work of the gods who were, for some reason, displeased with humanity. Droughts, floods, tornados, hurricanes, blizzards, and even heat waves were attributed to a vengeful god. Those beliefs are now thought to be nonsense. Instead, our entire economy and American lifestyle are being overturned in pursuit of a new nonsensical faux-religious belief system.
Today we are told that it is we who are the instruments of our own destruction. Man has flooded Kentucky and caused a drought in California. Certainly, gods do not have that kind of power. We create the tragic events that bedevil us and, therefore, we have the power to end them. People created global warming, and people can fix it by ridding the world of individual freedom, personal autonomy, internal combustion engines, cheap abundant energy, and inexpensive, quality food. That is the message we’re getting. The lesson that the American middle class must learn by whatever means necessary, or we will all perish.
But what about the long ages before man? Human beings have been around for maybe 300,000 years. Who was wreaking havoc on the world before we appeared on the scene?
There were no polar ice caps for over ninety-nine percent of the earth’s history. Our planet has been a much warmer place for most of its existence. The first ice caps appeared just over thirty million years ago. Since then, great sheets of ice have engulfed almost the entire planet on perhaps five separate occasions.

The mistake being made is thinking that the climate change alarmists want to stop climate change and that we can argue the science to show that they are wrong. The climate changers want to destroy the free enterprise system. They must be defeated by preventing them from gaining positions of power and by fighting the concept of communism.
Green was the "new" Red. Now it's the same old Red.
When one properly clusters socialism in all its forms together, there is no validity to the "Left-Right" model, per se. There is a corrupt, anti-capitalist side arrayed against simple liberty, as a globalist side raging against localism.
Those who pretend some "in between" stance are grifters happy to play both sides, and they are many.
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters." — Genesis 1:1–2"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care." — Matthew 10:29
"Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!" — Luke 12:24
The mistake is not attacking the “press” when you lose your job.
Stewardship takes many forms. One of the least effective, and most crushing in its outcome, is forbidding the disturbance in any way, shape, form or manner, because the pristine order that is the virgin world, is not to be exploited.
The minerals, the wealth of animal and plant life in all abundance, and the land, water, and air themselves are there for the greater good of all mankind, to be used judiciously and well for the greatest good for the greatest number.
Stumbling, but in ever improving manner, the lessons of preserving the basic structure of the planet, while extracting the various forms of wealth in a manner that does not destroy more than it builds, have been learned and applied over the years and decades since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.
But, in the spirit of remorse and shame, where excesses have been applied, there is an overcompensation made, which forbids the further destruction, at the cost of stopping all development altogether, of anything anywhere for any specious reason or emotional attachment.
And this is where we find ourselves, for in the zeal of being a “sustainable” course of action, all development is being stopped, everywhere. And civilization itself stops, reverting to a much more primeval level of anarchy and lawlessness. Not a useful course of action, but more of a purge.
Real sustainability is modifying and correcting the errors of earlier means of extracting, refining, processing and transfer of means toward wealth building, and applying the new-found methods to ever greater efficiency and energy for distribution to all. But the technology of the processes by which this commerce is advanced is allowed to continue to improve, and the opportunities to bring in ever greater numbers of participants in this great network of enterprises are allowed to expand.
Command-and-control regimes have never led to the advancement of humanity. They are basically the most exploitative of means of governance, and inevitably lead to failure and death of civilization wherever they touch.
“The issue is not the issue. The revolution is the issue.”
A small group of billionaires have decided that “climate change” is a weapon to be used to crush the masses.
Life is easy when you know the rules.
We may be on the cusp of a drought that could last a millennium, but instead developing alternative sources of water, like desalination, we are dithering with accusations and promoting false hope that we can prevent it.
The ‘erf’ doesn’t “care” about humans.
The “erf” didn’t put us here; God did that. He had a purpose.
You want desalination on a VAST scale? Set up a whole string of thorium-fueled molten salt reactors along a coastal sea front, along with water distillation towers, and a pumping and pipeline system to move the water recovered from the distillation towers. A quantity of sea water is then subjected to the heat generated by the nuclear reactor, and as the brine is ever more concentrated, either evaporate it to dryness, or discharge the now extremely salty brine to the depths of the sea, where the greater density of the concentrated brine sinks to the bottom of the ocean, and is essentially removed from the locality. As the concentrated brine is discharged, replace it with a new quantity of sea water, to be distilled in its own turn. This way, desalinated water is continually produced in large quantity, and when pumped to the dry interior, may be used to make deserts bloom and sustain the flow of fresh-water rivers.
Now, returning to the brine or the quantities of dried sea salt, there are many more things than sodium chloride dissolved in the sea water. Metallic elements of EVERY element are present in some quantity, and may be extracted from the brine or the dried salt bed, by electrolysis or by the very simple method of fractional crystallization. As brine dries, the first least soluble minerals form a distinctive strata, while the more soluble remain in solution, until those also reach their point of crystallization, again forming a distinctive strata. On and on, until the entire bed is dry. These dried solids may then be rendered into their respective elements, as this is now a very concentrated ore for metallic elements, and a rich source of chlorides, sulfates, phosphates, carbonates, iodine, and even some nitrates.
An excellent proposal. But a cheaper way would be a solar system, (think of a lifeboat survival still writ large) with wind activated pumping. Quicker, too...no 20 year approval process!
