1. Arabs are disproportionately involved in fatal accidents.
2. Arabs make up some 19% of all drivers' license holders.
3. The main reasons for accidents involving drivers from the Arab society are: disobeying traffic lights, driving at excessive speed, not keeping a distance, not giving the right of way, crossing between lanes and disobeying traffic signs.
4. "When a normal citizen receives a driving license, his life turns upside down. When a driver in Arab society receives a driving license, he continues to drive."
[BTW: Arabs in Israel are some 83% Muslim, then come the Druze and then a smaller percentage Christians].
Who cares? It’s Israel.
I’ve been to quite a few places on God’s green earth and I’ve seen some scary drivers.
Kuwait was the craziest when it comes to drivers. I practically felt like kissing the ground every time I arrived at Point B in Kuwait unscathed.
Long story short...I just about soiled my underwear...many times...driving on the UAE's highways.Mainly because of tailgaters and drivers suddenly changing lanes without signaling.
Why wouldn't everyone want to drive when they get their driving license?
Does “license” mean “ticket,” in Israel?
It long ago occurred to me that our entire system of driving safety is predicated on the idea that every car is driven by someone who holds the value of his life and that of his family above all other things. That’s the only thing that allows us to use a pair of painted lines to keep cars going in opposite directions on the same road from smashing into each other in what would invariably be fatal collisions.
It occurred to me at the same time that if each of us can’t assume that oncoming drivers value their lives as much as we do, the whole system of road design in the United States breaks down.
Cool, keep them there, we have enough immigrants...all full up here!
Moslems and among them especially Arabs are the most fatalistic people on earth. Many drive along and walk across the street often without looking because for them If Allah wants me to live, I will live. If Allah decrees that I will die, I will die. That is the “inshallah-if Allah wills it” they say before every move.
Sounds like the real issue is the Israeli justice system.
It will only stop when the bad drivers face consequences they regard as unacceptable.
More men than women driving, with men more likely to drive recklessly? (But park competently.) More young men in their teens and 20s at peak recklessness age? (I won’t go into the consideration of repeat cousin marriages...)
Just to mess with other driver’s minds. Guys doing casual snow plow work, would leave the snow plow attached to their small to medium size pickup trucks and SUVs, for 2- months after snow season was done. Up in New England.
What does this have to do with America?
The main reasons for accidents involving drivers from the Arab society are: disobeying traffic lights, driving at excessive speed, not keeping a distance, not giving the right of way, crossing between lanes, and disobeying traffic signs.
That sounds like driving in Southern California, except there are a limited number of Arabs.
Vehicles are halal?
When did Mad Mo’ announce that?
Interesting.
