Italy can be scary. The Autostrada is nuts and those Mario Andrettis racing those narrow, very curvy roads in Naples have put my heart in my throat more than once.
But Kuwait was even scarier.
And they move mangled remnants of resultant wrecks in Kuwait to the side of the desert highways until officials can get around to disposing of them. You’d think all that twisted and burnt metal on the sides of the road would act as a deterrent, but it doesn’t.
Cool, keep them there, we have enough immigrants...all full up here!
Around Tampa. Not quite as bad. Last time I was in the Miami Ft Lauderdale area I swore never again to complain about NYC traffic 🙄😖
Geeze....your French is even worse than mine! ;-)
I-95...or Biscayne?
What is the typical accident?
Head on, side swipe or rear ender?....................
“Je cherche le salle de bain!”

I hope it wasn’t too late when found... just kiddin’.
When our daughter learned to drive the first thing I told her, “always assume everyone else on the road drives like a-holes” and even if she’s in an old clunker about to fall apart, drive with the same level of caution as if it were a fully restored 57 Chevy (she drives our 64 Chevy at times with no problem) The epitome of defensive driving. Gotta admit she’s got a cleaner driving record than me when I was her age🙄😀
I didn’t understand that, either.
I absolutely hate French having endured 4 years of that brand of ‘language’.
I only saw the immediate aftermath of one bad wreck (we didn’t see it occur) and it was a t-boning. I still hope nobody was in the passenger seat of the car that was t-boned, because there’s no way anybody could have survived that.
Saw a couple of close sideswipe calls.
We mostly saw mangled vehicle remains on the side of the highway or fender-benders in the middle of town. The traffic in town probably saves a lot of lives because drivers can’t go all that fast.
Moslems and among them especially Arabs are the most fatalistic people on earth. Many drive along and walk across the street often without looking because for them If Allah wants me to live, I will live. If Allah decrees that I will die, I will die. That is the “inshallah-if Allah wills it” they say before every move.
Yes that’s very good advice. Always be asking yourself this: “what if the guy driving that car (that’s beside me, or that I’m approaching) did something really stupid right now.”
Sounds like the real issue is the Israeli justice system.
It will only stop when the bad drivers face consequences they regard as unacceptable.
More men than women driving, with men more likely to drive recklessly? (But park competently.) More young men in their teens and 20s at peak recklessness age? (I won’t go into the consideration of repeat cousin marriages...)
“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.
A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property – either as a child, a wife, or a concubine – must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.
Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the faith: all know how to die but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.
No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.
Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.”
— Winston Churchill, The River War, 1899
Just to mess with other driver’s minds. Guys doing casual snow plow work, would leave the snow plow attached to their small to medium size pickup trucks and SUVs, for 2- months after snow season was done. Up in New England.
What does this have to do with America?
In France, the stop signs say “Stop”.
Only in Quebec do they say “Arrêt”.
When driving in the Arab world, one must understand that an accident happens because “Allah willed it”.
And no matter what the circumstances are, the infidel will be at fault 100% of the time if it is a two-car incident.
Because...., the infidel should not have been there in the first place.
