I took part in a discussion on a message board in which we shared stories of our childhood poverty.
After sharing some of my anecdotes, someone replied to me, telling me that all I had to do to lift myself out of poverty was to write a book and I’ll become a millionaire just like that JK Rowling person (author of the Harry Potter books). He was serious.
