Woke schools are subverting parental authority and rights from every angle. But parents are starting to fight back.
In late June 2021, a video went viral of a father being tackled and dragged out of a school board meeting in Loudoun County, Virginia by burly cops, his t-shirt torn, his hands cuffed, his mouth apparently bleeding. Scott Smith, 48, had committed the heinous crime of protesting the board's woke policy of gender-fluid bathrooms because his daughter was sexually assaulted in one, at Stone Bridge High School, by a boy who "sometimes wears a skirt."

Smith now stands vindicated and is suing the school district. The media and reasonable people are hearing him out and criticizing the board's cover-up in pursuit of a political agenda. Smith's story stands out starkly, for it shows how leftist woke ideas are being quietly but relentlessly injected into schools and how those who oppose them risk being silenced, canceled, or treated like terrorists.
The global leftist agenda for the control of young minds runs deeper than patriotic Americans might suspect. After a virtual takeover of the humanities departments of our universities, the leftists have been targeting schools by implementing gender-fluid bathrooms and woke curricula without consulting parents. And then that last formidable frontier — the American family, which they hope to destroy by wresting away control of children from parents. Should that happen, American values and American society as we know it will self-destruct.
The bypassing of parents, as an expedient to the control of young minds, is a major component of the left's Great Reset of capitalism, ushered in through the CCP-tied World Economic Forum.

About the same percentage as healthcare professionals, I’d wager.

The first step in winning would be the elimination of all compulsory education laws.

It’s a business model fiefdom and it’s 100 percent.
If your are quiet and go along you keep your job. If you are all in and a loud and proud supporter you are an activist and the real part of the problem. Everyone isn’t on board at the activist level but if you want to work in teaching, you keep your mouth shut at a very minimum.
There are precious few if any States that are not completely on board with the destruction of society as it once was. Try to wrest money away from “Public Education” for competition in the system and you quickly come to the conclusion they are in support of the business model of supporting teachers, administration, staff and all the accoutrements of the education system and the children are the pawns that bring in the dough.
Children otherwise DO NOT MATTER. Watch the bills in the Legislature intended to end the bathroom insanity. If they go down in flames you know the education lobby is responsible. If you can’t stop the flow of money making education the biggest baddest employee in the State you have to know who’s in charge, and it’s not the Legislature. The education lobby wants no competition.
With that said AZ managed to pass a bill finally that allows the money coming from the State that supports education from the student level to be tied to the student no matter the choice of school be it private religious or public. Time will tell if that can improve what is going on within the “system”.
Meanwhile if you attempt to rid the school library of books that could easily be labeled pornographic you might be labeled a Nazi for wanting to “burn books”. Too bad Ronald Reagan wasn’t able to follow through on his plan to dump the Federal Department of Education. We won two world wars on two continents at the same time due to I believe an education system run locally by people who knew the students education was the goal not the preservation of a fiefdom.
Simple solution: run patriots for schoolboard positions. Vote in schoolboard elections. Attend schoolboard meetings. All the “woke” garbage will go away.
I have a Patriot who is on a large school board (elected). It has been Hell...she gets called racist, etc. I should post one parents report of HIS being threatened after leaving the meeting. A local group has basically taken control of meetings by intimidating those who attend, and the staff. It is a local mostly hispanic group.
Interesting if anything. Here we have a thread dead and gone at 12 comments. In reality it should be IMHO an ongoing thread with a life far beyond that of an average thread on Freerepublic.
So the question is, are we all so removed from the education system perhaps by average age of members and fewer young pawns in our homes that causes something so important to die an early death?
