“I’m still upset that churches went along with the lockdown... when we needed them most.”
This has weighed heavily on the hearts of the members of my small group.
When Covid hit we 6 couples made a covenant with each other to meet at least once weekly as an Acts 2:42 style church. During the shutdown it was more like 3 times a week.
We are still continuing to gather one weeknight a week in addition to attending our larger Sunday worship service
We share a meal and then are immersed in the Word, worship and fellowship. We pray daily for all our families and any other needs that are raised during our weekly gathering. We lift each other up in hard times, celebrate our blessings and keep each other grounded in our faith.
We have seen lives changed, people healed and have forged a true Body of Christ; aware and appreciative of our differing gifts.
We are hearing a clear calling to implore people to find some like-minded people and form similar groups. The churches WILL be shut down again.. it’s just a matter of time.
But the Armor of God is meant as much for the Body as it is for the individual..perhaps even more so and it will be needed as times grow darker.
Forming a small group church takes time. If people wait until the big churches are shut down to do so it will be too late
I gave my pastor and the Elders a page-full of righteous invective.
Your “small group” is the Church. That building you go to that’s conforming with the world an government mandates is NOT the church. the “CHURCH” is the body of the Lord’s people. Be strong ,be bold for the Lord your God is with you!

Re Churches Shutting Down:
You are so right.
Good for you and your brethren!
May His Spirit abide on each and all of you.
I recently opened my home to lead a small group.
We’re ten strong and the love one another is evident and powerful. Truth be told, our church pulpit is topical, entertaining motivational speeches, which leaves us unfed. We are hungry for the Word. Just finished James. Next 1THE 2THE.
Blessings to you
If you’d like to continue this conversation in PM, I’m in!
Our group will join you in your prayer requests and pray for your group.
House churches are the best.
