Actress Anne Heche died today at age 53 years after being disconnected from life support one week after being in a serious automobile accident that left her in a coma.
Her family made this difficult decision following a brain-death diagnosis.
It was said that Heche decided how to dispose of her organs since she was a donor.
Her closest relatives thanked her fans who had sent the actress messages of support during the past few days and especially praised the work done by "the staff and the wonderful nurses" who cared for her at the hospital.
Anne Heche was seen in early August driving recklessly on the streets of Los Angeles. Minutes earlier, she had hit another vehicle and, later, a garage she fled from while a neighbor yelled at her.
I rather liked Anne Heche as an actress. Among the roles she had was as a “life coach” in the series “Men in Trees”. A New York denizen finds herself out on the frontier in Alaska, and has some surprising adventures confronting the various situations, including a wilderness cabin retreat.
We all make choices in life. Heche chose poorly. What about the home of the innocent person she destroyed?
What are they supposed to do now?
Pretty decent actor. I actually loved her in 6 days 7 nights with Harrison Ford.
If she was literally brain dead, then she was not suffering; she was gone and they were only keeping her body alive. If she was not indisputably brain dead and they “pulled the plug”, they killed her.
Prayers for her soul. RIP.
She chose poorly? When I eat a Twinkie in violation of my doctor’s orders *that* is a “poor choice”. She was loaded up with Fentanyl and was doing 90 in a 35. That’s utter depravity.
Underneath all of the success, glamor and notoriety, she was dealt a horrific childhood and an unbalanced mind. None of us know how we would have turned out had we been dealt the same hand. It seems to me she was more lost and self-destructive than evil. I pray that God will have mercy on her soul she will finally find peace. Amen.
That's what they did for my brother who was killed in an auto accident in California back in 2001. He was only 41.
It was a 19 year old Hispanic who was high on drugs and alcohol and ran thru a red light, broadsiding my brother's rental car. He was in Calif on business from Montana.....
RIP…unintentional suicide…sad
As of this morning they had $160k in a gofundme…
RIP.
In the TV series, Men in Trees, she made me laugh.
I wouldn’t count on that.
Sad news.
Very sad. She effectively committed suicide.
Now her HollyWeird friends will make her some kind of hero.
More idol worship.
More high places at which the pagans can worship.
Hallmark? So her career had died before she did.
Thank God she didn’t kill anyone, like that nurse that killed five while driving and many other examples
Honestly, never heard of her until the past few days. Of course, I don’t follow the Hollywood crowd.
With that said, may she RIP.

Very well said. Heche was lost, not evil. She made bad decisions that could have hurt innocents. That makes her very irresponsible and, frankly, stupid. It doesn’t make her evil.
As you noted, I hope her soul finds peace.
