Very well said. Heche was lost, not evil. She made bad decisions that could have hurt innocents. That makes her very irresponsible and, frankly, stupid. It doesn’t make her evil.

Agreed. We all make mistakes, some bad ones. Many of us have had the opportunity to live, learn from them, and try not to repeat them.

Sorry, she was evil because she was lost. I wish people would stop making excuses for evil women simply because bad things happened to them but I know that will never happen. Of course, the same consideration is never given to a man.
