Olivia Newton-John died "peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends," according to an Instagram post shared by her family. She was 73.
"We ask that everyone please respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time. Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer."
The Australian singer was known just as much for her top hits, including "Physical" and "You're the One That I Want," as she was for her starring role alongside John Travolta in the classic film, "Grease."

That’s at Mar A Lago in the 2000s. She was with Regis Philbin and his wife Joy at that visit. She met quite a few Presidents, sang for Pope John Paul II and Queen Elizabeth a few times.

Most of them, fortunately, kept it minor and did weed only. But a few of them went off the deep end including a friend of my brother who was murdered over a drug debt.
I saw enough of the druggie world that I wanted nothing to do with this crap and was so extreme that I refused Rx strength pain killing drugs when I was badly burned escaping a fire at age 25 and spend three weeks in a burn unit of a big city hospital.
