Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) has listed several taxes in in the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” that passed the Senate on Sunday — which Democrats now hail as a “climate” bill, since the Congressional Budget Offices says it will hardly reduce inflation.
These taxes include taxes on fossil fuel, which will raise energy costs for working-class families, still struggling with high gas prices; taxes on businesses that will affect consumers and entrepreneurs; taxes on medicines; and taxes that affect pensions.

Their payroll tax is a deduction from their overall tax liability, helping them pay 0 taxes on any profits
They don’t care about the misery. It doesn’t effect them or their donors. Just the little people.

So they pay a lot of taxes then. I think Walmart employs something like 2 million people that Walmart has to pay the other half of social security, Medicare, and whatever state employment insurance, family leave taxes and programs.
Well, the only action we FReepers can take against this monstrosity is, if we live in a Congressional District that is ruled by a Democrat (they do RULE, you know!), RAISE HELL WITH THEM TO VOTE NO ON FRIDAY!
AND, OF COURSE, VOTE CONSERVATIVE IF YOU HAVE A PRIMARY BEFORE THE NOVEMBER ELECTION!

I heard a story on the radio about a refinery in the Virgin Islands. It was going through a major overhaul and was due to come back on line. One of team biden’s early acts was to pull the plug on the refinery.
