Billy’s a good guy. I really hate what D’arcy did to herself, she was a beautiful girl when the Pumpkins started out.
The beat to this song is just awesome.
I worked at a hotel and a big group of enginerring students were getting their academic rewards.
I had to pull out all the furniture out of the pool.
Still work in the hotel industry and cringe when I see baptist or evangelical bus shows up.
Those kids are hellions, they always push every floor on the elevator buttons.
I have no idea what happened to them after that but they just pretty much disappeared from the scene.
"Siamese Dream" album was their high point.
My first job was up at Taco Bueno in Denton. My friends would fill up the ash trays with hot sauce. The, they would smash a burrito on-end on the table cuz they knew I had to clean it up. $3.35 an hour.
Great song from the 70s.
Thanks for posting the video.
My teen boys LOVED this band, so I know all of their songs. My faves are ‘Bullet with Butterfly Wings’ and ‘Perfect.’
But yes, great song.
It amazes me how dumb people can be, working in the service industry.
I drive to the airport, in the shuttle, and people will come up to me "Are you La Quinta" and very nicely say "No", but under my breath, "Can't you read, you idiot".
I just read the lyrics. Other than the nostalgic video, the song is just a bunch of mumbo-jumbo lyrics thrown together to sound like a poem. It is not very similar to my 1979.
One thing might be inaccurate in the video: At the store, the cup reads, “Say NO to drugs,” but didn’t Nancy Reagan coin that slogan in the 80’s?
You are correct, it was on the TV show "Different Strokes" in 1983, where Nancy said< "Don't do drugs".
Dana Plato didn't follow that advice, Arnold died of natural causes.
I’m old. Heard of them. Briefly watched the Youtube video. Just looked like a distant step back on the path to contemporary cultural dysfunction.
