Echoing the criticism his daughter has made of Trump, Dick Cheney denounced him as a danger to the country through his relentless lies about the legitimacy of the 2020 election.

The biggest threat to the Republic are all the people who clapped like trained seals as the ineligible marxist muslim Kenyan from Indonesia was sworn in in direct violation of the Constitution.
I have never seen a political ad, in my life, that is so tone-deaf, and whose political consequences will be the exact opposite of those intended.
Dick Cheney comes across as a petulant, immature old-man trying to protect a daughter whose actions everyone knows are wrong, and driven by anger towards and hatred for President Trump.
This will do nothing but seal the deal where her impending loss is concerned.

I came to dislike and nearly despise a man I once admired-Harry Truman-when I discovered things he did with respect to Soviet spies in the US Government that showed he had more concern about the welfare of the Democrat Party than he did for the National Security of the United States.
I feel much the same about Dick Cheney. He has demonstrated that his daughter’s career is more important than the welfare of this country.

The Cheney name has nothing going for themselves so they must resort to verbal abuse. It is not effective. Cheney used Republican money to get elected but as a rino voted with the Dems, that is tantamount to fraud. Rinos should pay the RNC money used to get elected as Conservatives back since they are libs in drag.
The level of infighting (even on FreeRepublic) is something I've never seen before, and it will hurt us. We win battles (primaries) just to lose the war (general elections).
I know a lot of you will scream "WE NEED TO GET RID OF RINOS!" and that's fine. Just realize that what you're effectively doing is handing Senate seats and Governorships to Dems. IMHO, we need to put forth more moderate candidates in House and Senate races. Flame away.
Cheney over did his message by saying there has been no greater threat to our country other than Donald Trump.
On the face of it, that sounds hysterical and plain out ridiculous.
I have the impression that this Cameo Appearance by Dick Cheney was his idea, not Liz’s. Dick sees the polls and wanted to be on record as having done something other than sit in his chair scowling, wagging his finger at the (ever present) mental image of Trump. “During the Bush years, they used to say that I had ‘gravitas. Well, dammit, I still do have it!”. Liz probably figured, ‘What have I got to lose? I’m going down anyway.”

I'd bet that if Trump had used, or seriously considered, Lez as a VP candidate in 2016 or 2020 (which would have been a HUGE mistake anyway), the old lying neo-con wouldn't be defaming him like he did in that schlock commercial.
