A McDonald's worker who was shot in the neck during an argument over a customer's cold fries has died from his injuries, it was confirmed this morning.
Fast food joint worker Matthew Webb, 23, was shot by gunman Michael Morgan, 20, on Monday and he was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
NYPD confirmed Friday morning that after being declared brain dead, Webb has now passed away.
Webb, from Queens, was shot outside a McDonald's in Bedford-Stuyvesant following a heated spat with the suspect's mother who was complaining about cold French fries.
Video surveillance reportedly shows Morgan punching Webb in the face, and when the worker tried to get up, he shoots him in the neck before fleeing the scene, and attempting to dispose of his clothing, prosecutors alleged.
Webb, 23, who was found lying on the sidewalk after being shot, blood streaming into the street, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and was put on life support. He has now sadly died.
Morgan kept his eyes down and didn't speak as he was arraigned on Thursday for the attempted murder.
Assistant District Attorney Luis Paternina said, before it was announced that Webb had died, that upgraded charges are likely against Morgan, who is being held without bail pending another court appearance next week.
Morgan was also arraigned in a separate October 2020 murder that he reportedly confessed to earlier this week.
Morgan was taken into custody Monday night. His girlfriend, Camellia Dunlap, has also been charged in connection with the case after she allegedly handed Morgan the gun prior to the shooting, prosecutors said.

Not in New York. The only death penalty here is reserved for babies. Has the shooter been released without bail yet, or did they put an ankle bracelet on him, and let him go home, and to work/school?? Wouldn't be the first time.

It was the shooter Morgan's mother who wasn't happy with her fries. She started arguing with Matthew Webb over it. She was given new fries, but she wasn't happy with those either.
"The argument moved outside and that's when, sources said, the woman called over her 20-year-old son to "take care of the problem." He then pulled out a gun and shot Webb in the neck."
The mother instigated the incident, then encouraged the son to take care of business. She is complicit in this murder, and should be charged, and in jail.

Come on. These hard-working criminal thugs spend their whole day knocking out Asians, and old people, pushing folks onto the subway tracks, mugging, burgling, shop-lifting, selling and running drugs, don't have time to sit down to a table to take their meals. They need grub on the run, so fast-food it is. And they demand to be catered to.

My friend, you are not kidding. I taught these ferals for years at a treatment program for juvie felons. 90% of them could not read above a second grade level, but that was okay — they had the newest Jordans, were ‘dropping’ new rhymes on sound cloud, and had all the self esteem in (no pun intended) spades.
But when you pointed out their lack of education or ability, they would go insane.
