This is the horrific moment an LA driver speeds through a red light before slamming into five cars at an intersection, killing six including an infant and a pregnant woman.
The black Mercedes races past a gas station then smashes into the side of a traffic jam, causing a flaming inferno in the Windsor Hills district.
It sends the vehicles screeching across the street before finally coming to a stop in a mangled wreck just feet away from rows of highly flammable pumps.
The gut-wrenching pile up, between of South La Brea Avenue and Slauson Avenue, killed the pregnant woman, her unborn child and the three-year-old.
Meanwhile seven people have been left fighting for their lives with horrendous injuries following the devastating smash at 1.40pm.

people on twitter from that area say there are a lot of reckless drivers on that section of La Brea.
I saw one poster say in LA you know you better wait a few seconds before you pull through an intersection so you can see if anyone is speeding through a yellow light

Thats one creepy picture - like right out of "The Omen" or something.
I can’t fathom what is going on in that pic. YOu are going 100 miles an hour with your arm raised out your window and you can see an intersection just ahead.
Some people are theorizing there was a cell phone in her hand capturing the moment..but still...100 miles an hour creates a lot of wind
who is that on the billboard?
damien thorn
you’re gonna get called racist for pointing out a black arm. I’ll watch the thread to see if my favorite virtue signaler shows up.
Maybe not. George Gascon is still the DA.
Is running a red light at excessive speed one or two charges?
Plus the quality of the camera (1080p, 2k, 4k, frames per second) and the bitrate at which it was being filmed. A lot of variables to consider.
why would he be on a billboard from a movie long ago?
Did someone photoshop that?
How weird and wild
My $$ is on the perp being a ‘protected class’...
That reminds me, a couple of weeks ago I had a lucky break when a vehicle blew a red light. Arrow turned green in the left turn lane. Normally I automatically take off right away but for some reason this time I hesitated a couple seconds. Lo and behold a car sped through the intersection in front of me.
In Calif, that’s probably > 50% of the population, right?
Yes, this happens everywhere and a good reminder to me just to wait a few seconds to make sure no one is plowing through. Of course, in this case it wouldnt have made any difference.
Insurance company going to be paying out the maximum on this policy which still won’t even begin to cover losses
One of the FIRST things I taught my kids....when they were learning to drive....was to ALWAYS take 2 seconds to check both/all ways of the intersection, before they gas it on a green light...or, when approaching a green light.
Too many idiots run/blow through red lights and stop signs.....so, you have to ALWAYS be on the lookout.
Same thing my dad taught me. It has proven valuable, time and again.
I had a gal speed right through a stop sign, the other day, as I was approaching (I did NOT have a stop sign), and, I had to slam on my brakes. She was able to stop, but gave ME a dirty look....for making her stop, after she blew through HER stop sign. :- /
Your dad was so right.
People don’t pay attention to the car length rule anymore. They drive too close.
Los Angeles: Check.
Perp allegedly black: Check.
Victims = white (allegedly): Check.
Result: Slap on the wrist for perp.
May be zero if Gascon continues to ignore his duties as DA. We are looking to recall the b***ard for his malfeasance.
He may also declare that the lives lost are sad, but in his discretion as DA he could not see a way to proceed with charges as such charges would not be socially just.
