This is the horrific moment an LA driver speeds through a red light before slamming into five cars at an intersection, killing six including an infant and a pregnant woman.
The black Mercedes races past a gas station then smashes into the side of a traffic jam, causing a flaming inferno in the Windsor Hills district.
It sends the vehicles screeching across the street before finally coming to a stop in a mangled wreck just feet away from rows of highly flammable pumps.
The gut-wrenching pile up, between of South La Brea Avenue and Slauson Avenue, killed the pregnant woman, her unborn child and the three-year-old.
Meanwhile seven people have been left fighting for their lives with horrendous injuries following the devastating smash at 1.40pm.

when I was young I remember my dad saying one day there would be cars that would drive themselves. I didn’t believe him but I distinctly remember thinking if it does happen I am not getting one and giving up that control
Wouldn’t happen where I live, they are putting traffic circles at every intersection it seems.
I hate the new cars that try to steer you, I intentionally veer around stuff on certain roads and the car always fights me. (A dealer loaner when mine is getting repairs because I have no interest in a new car with all that crap).
The Mercedes never even tried to slow down, even at the point of just before impact when a person’s natural inclination would be to hit the brakes. It appears to be intentional.
Yes. That makes me crazy. On my car you can temporarily turn it off on one trip, but next time you start, it re-enables it.
And I hate it.
My daughter's an OR nurse. They had a patient from a car crash whose arm had been ripped off. My daughter and the surgeon had hoped to re-attach the severed arm but the EMTs at the site couldn't find it. All they could do in that case was prep the stump.
God bless those people who lost their lives. We never know when our time will be. Extremely sad about that poor baby.
Does that picture I posted with what is purported to be an arm look like one to you. Of course, the speed at which this car was traveling would affect how an arm looks in a photo
That made me emit a low, slow whistle.
Just, damn.
Sad to say, that it proves the invincibility of Mercedes in dar wrecks.

More a matter of physics and the transmission of force from one object to another. Picture a cue ball striking another ball. The force is removed from the cur ball and absorbed by the object it strikes. The same concept can be used in personal defense where you strike an opponent with your own head.
The pink car looks like one of Angeline’s Corvettes.
The people in the pink car that were a split second from being killed will no doubt have mental ramifications for awhile.
It appears the T boned car had a pregnant woman and a baby in it but people still sorting out details. Seeing that car seat fly out of the car is horrific.
May the Driver spent long years in a prison
People suck. Humanity is doomed because soooo many humans are reckless idiots.
Better hope it wasn’t an illegal.
Could very well be. I don’t know the precise details of my daughter’s story but it wouldn’t surprise me that the woman in her OR had been dangling her arm out the window before the crash.
