This is the horrific moment an LA driver speeds through a red light before slamming into five cars at an intersection, killing six including an infant and a pregnant woman.
The black Mercedes races past a gas station then smashes into the side of a traffic jam, causing a flaming inferno in the Windsor Hills district.
It sends the vehicles screeching across the street before finally coming to a stop in a mangled wreck just feet away from rows of highly flammable pumps.
The gut-wrenching pile up, between of South La Brea Avenue and Slauson Avenue, killed the pregnant woman, her unborn child and the three-year-old.
Meanwhile seven people have been left fighting for their lives with horrendous injuries following the devastating smash at 1.40pm.

I don't know. I'm not saying it's not a hand/arm, all I'm saying is it doesn't look like a hand/arm.
We have enough evidence here. It's all on tape. Multiple witnesses. We should argue for the death penalty in this case. (It won't happen)
But this is a slam dunk case.
Car was going too straight for it to be a passed out driver.
My suspicion is she was very very angry at the world.
A bystander/witness took a pic of the driver sitting by the side of the road. If it truly was the driver, she is black, and appeared disturbingly nonchalant about the carnage.
“One of those self driving cars.”
Was the Mercedes really a self-driving car?
If so, that’s huge.
My sister has a Mercedes that takes over steering when you get near the next lane. She almost hit a cyclist when she tried to steer around him. Someone said that “feature” can be deactivated. She and her husband both hate it.
“May the Driver spent long years in a prison”
She’s black and it’s SoCal. She’ll probably achieve sainthood and have a holiday named after her.
“all I’m saying is it doesn’t look like a hand/arm.”
Or maybe a hand with middle finger extended in a final expression of hatred at the world.
When a light turns green I always wait and look around. I get beeps from people behind me but I don’t care.
“I carry a valve stem tool in my console just for such ‘people’.”
What does that do?
“It does make one wonder!”
Your guardian angel working overtime.
Slow leak, eventual flat tire.
“Bad luck” for bad people.
“Slow leak, eventual flat tire. ‘Bad luck’ for bad people.”
Good plan!
;-)
Possible cell phone with boyfriend on the phone to show the result of what he did to her..and all it will do is have him thank God he escaped the crazy
What was she doing in LA...
Earning a LOT of money, likely.
As others have said…traveling nurses earn sometimes double the pay.
We know of two friends families whose daughters are now traveling nurses. They’re docking away a lot of income while they’re young/single.
Sad to think that this gal was so highly trained in working to save lives, but, made such a horrid and deadly decision that has killed innocents.
I’m sure the police have subpoenaed her phone records for that time. If it shows she was on a call or facetime at the time of the crash, it will be worse for her.
Yep. You even see that in the middle of the freeways in LA. I can’t imagine what hour of the day the freeway would be clear enough to try that.
One of the FIRST things I taught my kids....when they were learning to drive....was to ALWAYS take 2 seconds to check both/all ways of the intersection, before they gas it on a green light...or, when approaching a green light.
Safety is all well and good, but impeding traffic is unsafe. Braking and slowing down for every intersection is a real problem. So is sitting at a green light for 2 seconds.
I'm not saying this is what you recommend, but I see it every day.
“When a light turns green I always wait and look around. I get beeps from people behind me but I don’t care.”
Hesitation (usually fooling with the radio) has saved my life several times.
