Has any freeper found a solid site on the web for refrigerator service manuals ? I am in need of a wiring diagram for a Kenmore. Most of what I find is blurry or scammers.
fyi: I have a Kenmore Model 106.56544400
On many major appliances; dish washers, refrigerators, stoves; when you open the service panel, there is often a clear plastic sleeve containing a wiring diagram for the appliance.
In the interest of full disclosure; you open any high voltage appliance at your own risk. If you don’t know what your messing with, it can possibly kill you, even if unplugged (high voltage capacitors).
google make and model#
I appreciate your find, but of course I already stumbled on this, no wiring diagram.
Thanks.
Take the front base grille off and look inside. There is always a schematic on a refrigerator. Sometimes they're on paper tethered in the evaporator area, or sometimes they're on a label on the back of the refrigerator.
unless a mouse chewed it it aint the wires
As someone pointed out, I purchased such a diagram when I bought the fridge. It’s that it was serviced a few years back and sheet was not returned to plastic bag.
I won’t be paying over $20 for it at this site. I guess I’m just cheap.

$16.99 - Likely worth it. I’ve purchased a few manuals here and have been satisfied with what they provided.
For the curious.
I am looking to identify the hot lead to the defrost heater. Whole fridge is acting badly. Broken ducts between the two sides, etc.
So in my cleverness I plan to have a separate module to power the defrost and automate that when the fridge is at the cold end of its cycle to once a day defrost. I have a method to my madness.
airflow is the problem
Anything closer wanted payment for a dounload.
I guess they think requetor asking for greater detail than a simple user manual are commercial repair people, so they expct them to pay.
“fyi: I have a Kenmore Model 106.56544400”
Google “Kenmore Model 106.5654440 manual”
Here, just buy a brand new one ….

FWIW….we have a Kenmore s/s that is 25 years old, and, still running like a champ. It’s in our laundry room. GREAT fridge.
Look at those prices for little plastic parts...
Wow
Only goal here is to use the freezer side, the fridge side hangs about 50 degrees F (so good as a wine chiller)
I have a remote temp sensor in the freezer side that triggers power on at 19 deg F and off at 6 deg F
But the defrost won’t ever run for me. I’m sure my powering off for 15 minutes at a time doesn’t help it think !
It frosts up every 4 or 5 days and block airflow. I can sense that by the current it draws. No ice blockage and its about 200 watts. Once iced up pretty good, only draws about 130 watts or less and doesn’t cool much at that blockage level.
Been manually defrosting with the diagnostic sequence. Pain.
