Maricopa is the most populous city in Pinal County, surpassing Casa Grande several years ago. San Tan Valley straddles Maricopa County and Pinal County, and Queen Creek is in Maricopa County.

Did you attend any of Kari Lake’s functions to compare it to? It’s not fair to use one function to decide on such an important office.

I voted for Lake. I was just observing what I saw of the two campaigns, and trying to reconcile the vote. Also, if a candidate wants to approach me for my vote, the one who actually makes the personal contact gets the edge in my judgment of the quality of the campaign's ground resources. Very small sample. But, as I said, I voted for Lake, both are acceptable, both have issues.

Kari Lake has now taken the lead by more than a thousand votes as the Election Day votes are all in now in Maricopa County:

Same-day drop-off votes, of which officials estimate about 125,000–and many expect will break heavy for Lake–will be county later. Lake is now the easy odds-on favorite to win this, though it won’t be called officially tonight.

Quite the comeback for a Republican Primary (in general elections, late returns from big cities often swing things). I did not expect Lake to be able to overcome such a large deficit. I'm glad I am not a betting man.
