True, but he didn’t have a warrant. You have no duty to allow an illegal search.
There’s a legal breakdown at 56. But, apparently there’s a high number a firearms that need to be collected after being sold. The app is not always complete when the firearm is sold. If information comes up and the firearm needs to be returned, an ATF agent is sent out to retrieve it

That is no excuse to send a lone guy out knocking on doors.
It requires the DEALER to report the multiple sale. It does not then authorize the ATF to go to the buyer and demand to see the guns. This isn’t Israeli or European rules.
