Refineries aren't being built and this one is closing? Can't blame the Chicoms or globalization for this. The new company is investing in 'renewables'. The rest of the article points to the victimization in it's wake. It's the 80's all over again. Something stinks here. Just read the quote of Corinn Smith. Foot soldier lieutenants swallowing this kinda crap.

Does anyone have the picture of the Biden sticker saying “I did that?”

I’ve been by this town. It is located on I-80 just east of Rawlins. Population of the town has always been around 400 people and the refinery the main employer. The town is appropriately named Sinclair and, yes, you can get gas there. At least you could the last time I drove by.

This is not far from where I live. The refinery is subcontracting the specific work out instead of having employees. They are not closing down the refinery.

This company has done the same with other refineries they have purchased.

The article fails to answer several questions to put the layoffs in context. Will distillate production be cut as a result of the layoffs? Will the plant be shut down entirely? Would layoffs have been less had Keystone continued on track? Is there an overcapacity of refineries?

A family member who ran one of the Fortune 100 companies says the big investment companies buy controlling shares of opposing companies then manipulate share values up and down with no care of anything but profit.

Cause a market change, short the planned loser, make $$ on the other.

Not disabling my add blocker but guessing this is that’s what’s going on here.

The last US oil refinery was built in 1976. Climate-idiots, along with leftist Democrat government have been working tirelessly to completely hobble this country’s ability to refine gas.

All new bosses in just about any industry cull after taking control. They will be hiring next week. Nothing to see here. Move on.

The folks of Wyoming know that Jao Bai-din and Liz Cheney are to blame.
