What does this even mean? Lindsay has done the same thing, and it means nothing.

I don't see the value in telegraphing a “grilling”, Wray already knows that's coming. This is probably electioneering by Grassley, and will make him look weak if it comes to nothing. Better to probe carefully at first, then go for the jugular if it presents itself.

I expect as thorough of grilling as if he sat Wray on a cold hibachi.

It would be far better if we let Myron Mixon grill him.

Grassley is giving Wray advance notice so he can come prepared to be as slippery as an eel and as oily as a used car salesman.

Is Grassley deeply concerned? Maybe a strong worded letter coming too?

Chuck woke up from his nap?It took only 5 years to wake up. We should be glad.
Perhaps he should first ask his colleague and leader McConnell why he foisted this guy on the country.

Trey Gowdy 2.0?Oooo... only if he puts on a southern gentleman accent (from the 1800s), and he has plenty of made-for-youtube sound bites.
I am getting tingles up my leg. /sarcasm

everytime he has something to say it seems to me he “ re- invents” the day.
Maybe he will get to the bottom of Wray
but I dont think this fire is going
to be hot enough

The fbi lie. They always lie. Most people wouldn’t believe them anyway if they told what they actually do. Testifying before a committee is like childs play for them.

To be followed up by a totally useless, impotent, sternly-worded letter. Oh joy.

What else can Grassley do? Congressional investigative committees can’t prosecute. All they can do is a referral to the DOJ. We haven’t had an effectiveAG in 14+ years.

This is amazing. Grassley is actually doing something? Is he up for re-election? No he's not doing anything. He's granstanding, and telegraphing exactly what his line of questioning is going to be before time, so the fibbies can be prepared for it.
Here's how he should start. "A large number of people across America have thought that the FBI was little better than a gang of thugs since Ruby Ridge and Waco."
Change our minds.
You need to come up with convincing arguments why the entire organization shouldn't be disbanded in favor of the U.S. Marshall Service.
