SNIP "It is nothing I would ever wish on anybody," warned Chicago resident Josh Watson.
On the first day of his illness "I woke up with a sore throat, which I didn't think too much about," the 33-year-old said. "But by the afternoon my lymph nodes were sore, I noticed a lesion forming on the roof of my mouth, and my throat was worse."
By Monday morning, Watson was suffering severe headaches and body aches, "and I had another lesion show up on my chin, and one down in my pubes at the base of my penis."
"After I was diagnosed, I got worse, much worse," Watson said. "I was really tired. And I had clusters of lesions in the back of my throat. I couldn't eat solid food. And I ended up getting a large lesion on my uvula," the fleshy nob that hangs down at the back of the throat. "That made it hard to drink."
More lesions popped up on his arms, legs, feet and cheek and, eventually, internal lesions developed in his rectum.
"At first, it was a little painful to have a bowel movement. But then it progressed to the point where I was moaning and crying, even with stool softeners," Watson said.
And my prostate became inflamed, making it hard to pee. I have a very high tolerance for pain, but I think this was like a 9 or 10 out of 10. The pressure inside was so bad I couldn't even sit up."
Watson is now 18 days out from his first symptoms. "I still have rectal pain, though. And my biggest thing now is one lesion on my left foot. But I would say a full week out on the medicine and my pain was down to a 4.

Actually, it was a “Hollywood/Circus” thing - balancing atop an inanimate object.
Hollywood, beaches, hiking in the HollywoodHills, GrifithPark, weekend trips to Vegas - quite exciting for a couple of Ohio kids. We were so poor, weekend entertainment was walking Sunset/Hollywood Blvds and just watching the people shows.
My wife-to-be and I stayed almost 5 years before returning to Ohio. Even back then, the descent into cultural depravity was beginning to be visible.
I hope they hang those people. I see the FDA approved a vaccine or something for it. Seems awfully fast..

Sometimes God speaks in whispers. In these situations I believe he is yelling. The queers didn’t listen through HIV. Maybe they will listen through monkeypox.

I came very close to being born and raised in southern California, but my parents settled in Portland instead. That was a great place for a long time; now I’ll probably never go back even to visit. (My 50-year high school reunion is in September, but I never went to any of the others either, even when I still lived in Oregon.)

AIDS was spread by sexual contact. So is monkey pox. But monkey pox includes lesion symptoms all over the body.
It can be spread by a person with lesions touching and hugging anyone, even their children. It can also be spread by sheets and towels and any fabric they touch, as well as any surfaces they touch.
Which means it has the potential to spread in grocery stores and department stores. Until a person develops pain so bad that they can’t leave their home, they can spread the disease to a non-gay population, and they can always spread it to their families. CDC is still researching just when someone can spread monkey pox in its early and late stages.
