India's crude oil imports from Russia have jumped over 50 times since April and now make up for 10 per cent of all crude bought from overseas, a senior government official said on Thursday.
Russian oil made up for just 0.2 per cent of all oil imported by India prior to the Ukraine war.

Wouldn’t it be a better idea if we reopened our crude oil and carbon based industry and took the number one place in he market again. The global warming farce plan has caused much unemployment, high prices on everything, closed national resources and taken state, local and federal incomes to increase our debts.

As far as India goes, America should tread lightly. America, for reasons of its own, has mostly come down on the side of the failed Pakistani state whenever there was a conflict with India. That means we’ve allied ourselves with people whose religion is diametrically opposed to everything we consider Western and against the democratic Indian state. By failing to support India with weapons and technology, and instead giving those weapons and technology to India’s sworn enemy we haven’t made friends, and we’ve driven India into Russia’s arms. Now the US wants India’s cooperation against a country that has repeatedly come to India’s aid? That’s a tough sale.
Also, India is making decisions that are in India’s interest. What a shocking concept! Had the history been different the US would be justified in objecting to India’s actions. But it isn’t and we aren’t.
