(CNN)Moderna and Pfizer booster shots updated to target Omicron subvariants could be available in early fall, pending sign off by federal health agencies, the US Department of Health and Human Services said Friday.
The department announced on Friday an agreement to purchase 66 million doses of Moderna's bivalent booster shot for potential use in fall and winter. That's in addition to 105 million bivalent boosters the US government has purchased from Pfizer.
The US Food and Drug Administration advised vaccine makers in June to update Covid-19 vaccine booster to add an Omicron BA.4/5 component to the current vaccine mix to create a bivalent booster.

I cringed when I heard my Goddaugter telling her mom and dad that befor traveling back to Colorado they were getting a covid vaccine shot for their less than 2 year old daughter.
It’s insane but my speaking up would not have ended well for any of us. My Goddauhter and her husband are among the woke of the woke. Just say the word “Texas” or “Florida” and her husband would say “why in the hell would anyone go there much less live there”. They feel “safe” in Denver.
Since BA 4/5 is ALREADY HERE, aren’t these shots late to need?? In other words useless since BA 4/5 will just about fully played out by late fall, i.e. election time?
Sad to think that people are still falling for the covid farce.
