Kherson is trying to schedule a referendum in September about joining Russia. Reportedly supported by up to 85% of residents disgusted with Kiev policies and corruption. However fears of persecution by Kiev and continuing battles have led to delay

Cut off by Kiev early in the war from banking, telecomms and internet, the city has been increasingly integrated already with an economy using Russian internet, telecomms, banking and currency. Pro- integration forces are providing police, security, and govt administration.

Kherson much more resembles a city being liberated than one being occupied…despite the Western media and desperate attempts by Kiev to mount a “ counteroffensive” to prevent more regional losses. And to try and present a victory scenario for Kiev, to bolster Western support for the war.

The people of Crimea and the Donbas area were not allowed to vote when Zelensky was running. There were “0” voting sites in those areas.

Considering that Crimea was occupied illegally by the Russian military in 2015, and Zelensky didn't run until 2019, only a complete Russian stooge would fault Ukraine for Crimeans not being able to vote in that election.

Likewise only a complete Russian stooge would lie about "the Donbass" not being permitted to vote in that election. Most of Donetsk and Luhansk did vote, and the results are online for everyone to see. The only parts of itthe Donbass that didn't vote were the parts that were occupied by Russian/pro-Russian military forces.

You really need to up your propaganda game. It's transparent Russian knob-gobbling at this point.

Why would Crimeans vote in Ukrainian elections?
They declared themselves an autonomous Republic and then part of the Russian Federation in 2014.

As Kherson, and possibly several other oblasts plan to do once Russia secures Eastern Ukraine

It’s ‘quiet’ cause it is speculated that the Russians are staging for an August end push in the region. In other words, that particular speculation is that the end of August is going to be do or die for Ukraine.

I not clicking on any crap that has "q" in the title, nor do I respond to replies that contain no original thoughts, but just a link to somethong else

Why not address the point directly, with your own thoughts? Tell me where I was wrong. Was Zelensky not elected in 2019? Did Russia not occupy Crimea in 2015? Did Russian separatists not control parts of the Donbass beginning in 2015?

This is a classic tactic by people who are trying to defend a crappy argument. When presented with clear evidence that an argument is bogus, you refuse to address the point, but instead simply point to something else. You must have been a 9/11 Truther, because that was the exact tactic they employed when any of their ridiculous arguments were crushed. Just pretend it didn't happen, and bring up some new crappy point. Rinse and repeat ad nauseam.

No matter.
Some don’t want to face reality anyhow and hide behind multiples of excuses to do so.

You mean like repeatedly not addressing the very direct points I made?

It's really very simple. Zalensky wasn't elected till 2019 - and the Ukraine and parts of the Donbass were controlled by Russia since 2015. Criticizing Ukraine for not having polling places in parts of their country that were occupied by foreign troops is ridiculous.

You obviously disagree, which says a lot more about you than about the situation in Ukraine.

Only situation I or you or others need to know is this:
Ukraine is losing the conflict.

Side note, we, the US, have spent on Ukraine than the entire Russian military budget....and Ukraine still losing. Speaks volumes, huh?

Kherson is not trying to schedule a referendum, Russia is. They want a fig leaf for their military occupation.
