In CCTV footage uploaded to Twitter on Friday by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijiang, the man is seen on the phone on July 19 as he runs to the front of the building and briefly slips. He then looks up and catches the rapidly falling toddler in his arms.
The video cuts to CCTV footage of the building and shows the 3-year-old girl sliding out the window and quickly tumbling down.
The man told Chinese media that he heard a bang coming from the top of the apartment building and looked up to see the small toddler. tumble out from the window. He described himself as lucky to have caught the girl in time and explained that it was pure instinct.
After getting treatment at Tongxiang Second People’s Hospital on Friday, the toddler was discharged.

Stupid wife or woman almost messed up the catch
I know of this happening, only it was just a second floor window.
In my case I believe it was the hand of God, as I believe the mother placed the baby in the window well knowing it would likely fall.
A nearby worker saw the baby, jumped a fence, and caught the baby on a dead run.
When, he took the baby to the door, the mother just took the baby, no thank you, no “what happened?”, no “why do you have my baby?” Nothing. Took the baby and closed the door.
Although I didn’t see it myself, the young hero recounted this to me immediately after it happened. He was visibly shaken and the adrenaline was still pumping.
Babies are easier to catch they are very relaxed
I was completely impressed. If you can catch a 20-30 lb. bundle falling from a six story window, some cement head running full-tilt at you isn’t likely to make you drop it!

Long ago I spent a lot of time in Taiwan, a beautiful and friendly place with great food.
You could walk about Taipei late at night without the slightest hint of any street crime.
Seldom ever mentioned by my friends, like it did not exist?
But, it was said that when you were out and about late in the night if you walked past three people, one was a police agent of some type.
This was NOT China but about a hundred miles across the Taiwan Strait.
