Ivan Fedorov, the Mayor of Melitopol, in an
Quote from Fedorov: "It is worth noting one thing that I have heard from more than one person. The occupiers say that if they leave Melitopol, and the fact that they are already implying this is good, they say: ‘If we leave the city, everything is mined, everything will be destroyed.’ And this is definitely not about ensuring the security of our infrastructure."
According to Fedorov, the Russians have now captured the entire infrastructure of the city. "Today they can be in one school, tomorrow they will be in another, and they don't care," said the mayor.
He also said that the occupiers are positioning their military equipment and military facilities in the immediate vicinity of residential high-rise apartment buildings so that the Ukrainian military can’t respond to shelling.
According to Fedorov, the probable liberation of Melitopol is connected with the Kherson front, where positive dynamics are currently being observed.
Fedorov also expressed the opinion that if the Armed Forces of Ukraine free Melitopol at least a week before the start of the heating season (when communal heating systems are turned on at the start of the cold weather – ed.), it will be possible to start it (i.e. turn on the heating – ed.), but if not, "the heating season in Melitopol will not start."
Reference: Since 26 February, Melitopol has been temporarily occupied by Russian troops.
Previously: On 13 July, Fedorov reported that the Russians were strengthening their defenses in the occupied Melitopol, preparing for an offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Later, the local mass media wrote that Melitopol COLLABORATORS were afraid to be in the Taras Shevchenko Palace of Culture in the city centre and were preparing the building of the city executive committee for themselves.
Doesn’t sound like the Russians are confident of holding the city or being able to return.
The Ukrainians should have mined them first.....................
Sure…. We really believe this, Mayor.
As someone else said, the Russians are fighting the war with artillery and the US/Zelensky regime is fighting it with fiction. The artillery will eventually win, no matter what “narrative” we concoct.

They Russians will be there for years. Bookmark this thread and let me know if I am wrong.
lolz “positive dynamics are currently being observed”
Sounds like a director trying to explain why his team is failing miserably yet keep his job
In 5 months so far, the Ukrainians have not maintained, nor even attempted, one significant counter-offensive.
Melitopol was taken a mere 4 days after the start of the “SMO.” Its now 100 miles behind the front lines. Is a sudden Ukraine blitzkrieg coming?
This “mayor” is speaking from exile, somewhere in western Ukraine.
This is a little off topic, but even though Lira is a bit of a drama queen, he has a point - not necessarily that Z will be assassinated, but that his usefulness and ability to hold onto power may be gone.

More media BS. How do these liars live with themselves?
Or, you could blame the Ivan Fedorov, the Mayor of Melitopol sharing his concerns as he tried to provide services for his embattled Ukrainian people!
I knew there was something fishy about this article. Do people REALLY think the Russians would abandon this city when everyone is rushing to get Russian citizenships there? Can you imagine the retribution there would be if the Ukrainians got their hands on it again?!
Especially with the Nazi nuts still on the loose!
.
Is this Ivan fellow to be trusted by anyone? So many lies coming out of Ukraine, the most corrupted country on the world. Russia is “liberating” many folks who have living under the Nazi regime. Listen to Patrick Lancaster on you tube.. before U-tube censors him…. Also the Duran…
If that is the case, then it is BS. Just more Ukrainian propaganda.
Thanks!
Putin has increased creation of his propaganda videos. But, don’t listen to the Ivan Fedorov, the Mayor of Melitopol when a media talking head is available!
