Gingrich: "American Tsunami" Will Deliver GOP 5-6 Senate Seats, 40-70 House Seats

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich weighs in on the upcoming 2022 midterm election on the "FOX News Sunday" panel:

BRET BAIER: You've been in politics a long time. Democrats in some states around the country are funding more right-leaning candidates thinking it's going to be easier for them. They did it in Maryland, Pennsylvania. They failed in Colorado. This can whip around them.

NEWT GINGRICH: It's an a huge risk. You're faced with an American tsunami, not a republican. An American tsunami.

You saw some of it just now. 38% increase in New York City in the last year. People are going to go out, look at their gas tank, look at their grocery store, and I guess the Republicans are going to pick up probably five or six Senate seats somewhere between 40 and 70 House seats. It won't be obvious until October and in October will come crashing down. The Democrats are helping nominate the people they least want to see in office. It's crazy.

Who is doing the vote counting Newt?

Exactly!

All those predicting a red wave are those who haven’t bought in to the big steal.

If the GOP do control the house and senate they turn Rino again and do Biden’s bidding like they did for Obama

It’s not over ‘till it’s over. Republicans need to be running scared.

Newt could be close to right. I just want to know what the GOP will do with the majority.

And if they’re Assistant Democrats, what good is it?

These kind of predictions remind me of weather forecasters and sports “experts” predictions......if your wrong nobody remembers...and if your right it’s “I predicted it all along!”

I like Newt ok but it’s just more bloviating so fox cuts him a check IMO.

I don’t think so......

2, maybe 3 senate seats max....plus or minus 15 house seats.

not that matters. they could have 70 Senators and 300 house seats and they still wouldn’t accomplish a damn thing.

The Democrats are bold because they don’t have to fear elections anymore.

This is like trying to win a rigged poker game.

There really has not much been corrected since the 2020 election nonsense.

We will probably see the same nonsense in 2022 because that we saw in 2020.

I respect Newt Gingrich’s opinion more than most, but in this case he simply ignores the overwhelming evidence of the Democrat’s ability and willingness to simply steal the seats they need.

I think, come November, we will see a Democrat gain in the Senate of at least 1-2 seats and in the House of 2-4.

HOW??? Simple
More votes without have more voters.

You’ve hit the nail on the head.
We know the GOP is capable of winning midterms because they’ve already done it. A lot. The real question is, will they hold on to the gains by keeping their promises or betray the base yet again?

Nancy Pelosi said she has the right to seat or unseat members of the House of Representatives regardless of the election result.

It’s “democracy” she’s saving, don’t you see?

Absent 60 Republican Senate seats, the gridlock will continue and there will be no change

2024 is set up nice for the Republicans in the Senate. If they can get to 53 or 54 after 2022, then there is a good chance they can reach 60 in 2024

If we get the house and the senate...Biden will just try to do everything by EO...The States will do their little legislative bit...and the big losers will be “We, the People”

Oh, amen brother. The margin of cheating isn’t over about 5%. Yes, cheating is extremely real. The rats do it, relentlessly and remotely, but the dominion hue and cry that rises all the time on this forum is just intellectually lazy. I agree with a story floating about, that if Biden would announce he’s not running again there might be some modest recovery of midterm prospects… but he’s not going to do that. I think Gingrich is reaching on the Senate projection but, unless there’s some seismic event, the gop is going to crush it in the house, beyond the margin of cheating via dominion or other means
