Review: Steve Miller Band satisfies sugar babes and midnight tokers alike at Tampa Hard Rock

Not many can say that they’re literal godchildren of Les Paul himself. Steve Miller—who uses the hell out of Les’ guitars—has that bragging right, as well as the stories of performing and hanging out with the legend in general.

Despite getting to witness a man who will celebrate his 80th birthday in 2023 shred the axe like he’s in his 20s

Time keeps on slippin’, but luckily, Miller’s oomph-filled chops remain. If only Les could see him now.

This review is from his Tampa concert. I recently saw him last night at Saratoga Performing Arts Center. As well as 78 year old Rod Stewart a few days earlier.

Here is what completely baffles me, both are age 78.

Compare that to bed wetter and yogert eating barely lucid Joe Biden. When you do that, Biden's inability to carry out the functions of his office and his illness become quite apparent.

As for the aged rockers, just amazing how they carry on and continue to impress.

Filled with so many references. Love to see how lost an average millennial would be reading this.

Like they said of The Who:

“I really love it when they smash their walkers at the end of a song”...

I liked the original version he did of Fly Like an Eagle, more guitar-based than the synth-laden version. This was 3 years before the album came out.

There’s nothing like an energetic, healthy lifestyle and low-stress career to help ensure longevity.

Yep, musicians love what they do. That must be nice.

I dunno, the author is only 20 and apparently he gets it.......or does that make him a Gen Z???

I can’t tell the difference...they all look alike to me. 😏

Best part of the Steve Miller band was his harmonica play, The late Norton Buffalo.
