Mazatlan-Where Should I Stay For One Month?

Posted on 07/24/2022 6:54:50 AM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

Thought I'd hit you folks up for suggestions. I'll spend a winter month there. All I'm looking for is a hang out place. Walkable fun. Internet and plenty of restaurants, sports bars. Hopefully I'll have access to all football games. A place that caters to long term stays. No 'dorm. Perhaps less than $50/nite.

It points to the Golden Zone area.

If you are a single man, I can tell you that it has some of the most beautiful women in Mexico and might be fun to have a date with a normal local (ie not a “working girl”).

The recommendations I’ve seen so far are pretty good. Enjoy!

From the looks of that long walk, I see why they called it “El Faro”.

It’s about a half hour walk up the serpentine paved path. You can also take a cab or minibus up a winding road to the top.

I’d rather be around crowds. It’s Mexico. Even noisy places as long as I can walk to a bar.

I live 2,000 miles from the southern border. Do you know who runs most of the organized crime in our area? Two of the Mexican cartels.

It doesn’t matter where you are in North America….some of your money goes to the cartels. It isn’t run out of NY or Providence any more.

The Pueblo Bonito resorts are outstanding and the all-inclusive meal plan is a pretty good deal. However it will be substantially more than $50 per night.

Just be careful of the water AND the food on the flight home.

:)
