(CNN) - Paying for some Bruce Springsteen tickets these days may be “Tougher Than The Rest.”
That’s because Ticketmaster’s “dynamic pricing” has some seats reaching $4000 to $5000 a seat.
The high prices are not going over well.
“I’m sure you won’t see this @springsteen but you or your management need to have a word with the abhorrent criminals running @Ticketmaster who are charging exorbitant amounts to see you in concert,” one person tweeted. “Please listen to your fans, nobody can afford these ridiculous ticket prices.”
Writer John Semley tweeted that Springsteen should “write a song about a working man refinancing his car and home to purchase bruce springsteen tickets.”
“i got a sixty-nine chevy /with a three-ninety-six fuelie heads /and a hurst on the floor/i had to sell it to go see the Boss at the Wells-Fargo Center,” he suggested as lyrics.
Stevie Van Zandt, “The Sopranos” star and a member of Springsteen’s E Street Band, responded to the uproar by tweeting in part “I have nothing whatsoever to do with the price of tickets.”
**SNIP**
Prices started around $60 for some of the seats furthest from the stage.

‘77. MSG
The Cap Center, now re-re-re-renamed who knows what, is where I saw him the only time I ever did.
In 1981, I saw BOC in the Cap Center, at the end of their giant Godzilla/laser show days, seated up in the nose bleed/pot fumes sections surrounded by a pack of rowdy Marines.
When they did their finale of Roadhouse Blues, the Marines went berserk and briefly “body surfed” me a bit.
Good times.
I was 16 and not allowed to go to concerts in 1977.
:(
I cannot imagine how incredible that must have been.
Don Felder did steal the progression from "We Used to Know" by Jethro Tull, but I-V-vi-IV is the most cliched chord progression as is entertainingly displayed in the video linked below. (Incidentally, the short dark-haired guy in the video is now a "she.")
I look at it this way. Every ticket the idiot sells, is four or five thousand bucks some commie RAT politician doesn’t get.
LOL.
LOL, the “Music Wars” in nearly any branch of the military...I remember those.
But at least most of the music that people fought over having to hear involuntarily was pretty good ranging from Country to Motown to Heavy Metal.
Now? I cannot imagine. Rap or...what?
That’s a lot of money to hear someone from Jersey screech-singing.
What a greedy capitalist pig. No wonder he tries to sell himself as a poor, blue collar guitar player fightin’ for “da little peoples”. He’s a rich POS.
He’s the ssoB.
Stay out of Malibu.
Great scene.
P-Funk still gets it done for me.
From the article:
“Stevie Van Zandt, “The Sopranos” star and a member of Springsteen’s E Street Band, responded to the uproar by tweeting in part “I have nothing whatsoever to do with the price of tickets.”
He can quit the band in protest.
Hollyweird loves to protest!
How many are in his support band/ Thay all need to be paid and hotel accommodations.
There was a little jazz combo performing in the back of the room where this event was being held. When she focused on them, she realized that Max Weinberg was the drummer! There was no sign, no fanfare...just Max and other musicians cranking out great jazz.
Max was great as the drummer on Conan's show. He's got talent and has a wonderful personality.
A good friend who's in the know, told me Springsteen donates a lot of money to charity in Asbury Park without calling the press. He gets props for that, and playing 4+ hour shows.
Beyond that, his faux "regular guy" act and his absolutely droll music on top of his hate render Springsteen the second leading cause of boredom in adults, behind televised golf.
I liked Max, too.
Very much not a grandstanding, preachy guy.
“Damn capitalist pig“
He is not a. Apiralidt. He is a leftist. He hides behind a working class hero hater if capitalism facade while preaching leftist morals as he reaches deep into thir pockets and sends his henchmen out to blame his so called capitalist producers who in the end work for him.
A capitalist would be economically savvy enough to realize $4000 per ticket would ruin his reputation enough to offset any favorable financial gain he could add to his already vast fortune
Hes an illogical, wimpy, dishonest leftist.
“It’s like buying a pricey car for the Gran Prix and you don’t drive that great”
LOL It’s like my 12 yr old little leaguer son asking for a 400.00 bat. I told him if he could hit like a mini Judge…no problem.
I wouldn’t give a flat dime to see this arsehole. Never did like him.
Don’t waste your money all he does is SCREAM
