During an interview on CNN's "New Day," Ken Sicknick — the brother of the late officer Brian D. Sicknick — told reporter Kaitlan Collins of his frustrations with the revelations from Thursday's January 6 committee hearing.

The question remains of what Trump was doing for the more than three hours between 1:10 p.m., when the then-president was ending his remarks at the Ellipse

"We are focusing on the fact that he just didn't act at all for three hours, which is just absolutely ridiculous," Ken Sicknick said on CNN. "For the first time in a long time, I'm angry from seeing it again and realizing that he did nothing."
He continued: "Overall, we should be focused on the fact that he started this whole thing to begin with. So yeah, he's at fault for not stopping it, but he's really at fault for riling up the crowds and getting his sycophants following whatever word he said. I'd like to focus on the fact that he's responsible for it happening in the first place.
"Ken Sicknick then called out Trump what he said was the former president's lack of concern about the country.
"It's obvious to me that his existence in the White House had nothing to do with helping the country, had nothing to do with looking out for the best interest of the country," he said.
"The silence of the three hours? It could have been him stuck, deciding whether to say something. But ultimately it was him covering his rear end and him making sure that he was in power and that he could not admit to anything happening and I can't comprehend him not doing a thing to stop that. He knew what was going on minutes after his little rally," he added.

SOB doesn’t know what “riled up” means.
If it had been an insurrection by the good people of the US, there’d be hundreds, if not thousands of bodies at the capital, including some key democRATS.
You’re a Democrat troll. Screw off.
There is no good justification where a President sits around watching TV for hours as the Capitol is breached.
Maybe he just gets a pass on this issue. That was his brother, so of course, he’s going to have his own conclusions on what happened and why. I respect his grief, but I don’t need him to agree with me that the J-6 event had been infiltrated by Antifa and CIA types. If he ever admits this, he is not ready right now.
So be it.
I posted on Freerepublic in late December 2020 that it was a bad idea to hold a Trump rally in DC on January 6. I noted: 1) DC is Dem city where conservative rallyers couldn’t be assured of protection; 2) every previous Trump rally in DC had incurred violence from leftist thugs; 3) any violence that happened would be blamed on MAGA; 4) even if it wentboff without a hitch, the rally would be used by the media for distraction, so they could cover the rally instead of the congressional debate on the election’s process.
If I could forese all of this, why couldn’t Trump?
Bottom line: he was reckless and selfish to hold that rally in adC. He put his followers at risk. And he undermined his own cause by distracting from the planned presentations in Congress.
This was terrible judgment by Trump, and many of his followers have had their lives ruined because they answered his dumb call to come to a heavily Democratic stronghold on Jan 6
Trump should never have held a rally in Dem-heavy DC on Jan 6. He put his supporters at risk. And there was nothing to gain.
Any of you fellow News Hounds remember Cindy Sheehan, the Gold Star Mom who protested President George Bush?
She stayed on his case for years and years.
Then, suddenly, she was not needed by the progessives anymore. She just sort of disappeared from all the news cycles.
I essentially agree with your analysis.
Ken is disgacing his family, including Brian, by spouting such vehement pabulum.
The Secret Service took the wheel out of Trump’s hand so he couldn’t drive over to the Capitol to help Nanzi defend the House.
Cindy Sheehan was dumped by the progressives when she protested Obama. He was continuing Bush’s wars, and starting new ones. She was consistent. Just as she had protested unjustified wars under Bush, she also protested them under his Democrat successor. And the Democrats dropped her because of it.
STFU, Ken

“Police open doors for protestors, stand aside, and hold a door open for them.”
Nice try, Ken Sicko, but it was the FBI instigators that riled up a bunch of MAGA wearing BLM and Antifa infiltrators.
Hey Ken, Trump tried to grab the steering wheel and drive the Suburban over to the capitol to calm everyone down but they told him he couldn’t go there. Sheesh.
I remember her camping out next to Bush’s ranch for a long time..
You can’t just bust into any guarded building wearing face paint and a headdress and then be like “What’s the big deal?!?”
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>..
Yeah, those naughty trespassers! Perhaps they should have simply followed the example of Antifa, BLM, and other Communist thugs in Portland and elsewhere and set fires and demolished all of Capitol Hill. Yeah, that would have been much more civilized than entering the Capital while security personnel stood around watching them! You’re a moron. Go away.
