The blaster that helped the Rebel Alliance finally take down the Empire could soon be yours.

Han Solo’s DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol from the original Star Wars trilogy will be sold next month by Rock Island Auction Company. The weapon isn’t just a lovingly crafted replica, either. It’s the actual prop that was wielded by Harrison Ford on the set of the original film in the franchise...

Here's the auction page:

The “magazine well” is actually a baryonic flux inhibitor that controls the interpolation of opposing quantum field supersymmetries. The fins help with heat dissipation.

Don’t see a gas tube or recoil buffer.

Don’t see a gas tube or recoil buffer.

Correct.

It is a straight pull bolt action.

Works very well with a suppressor.

Use any loads that will put a bullet out the barrel.

Good Choice. You should also consider Fester's bed of nails. You can self operate it.

Festers bed of nails can also double as a moving wall of spikes.

Gun Grabbers go in, but they don't come out. You might want a spray hose for that though.

An outdated concept. A directed energy weapon doesn’t need a “magazine”. It has a tiny quantum singularity, smaller than a single atom, assisted by a Hawking compensator to prevent it from exploding.

I can’t believe they didn’t mention its a Mauser C96 Broomhandle with some junk added on to make it look futuristic.

I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took one of those spikey slammy door things in the face.

No, you’re correct.

The original ones were chambered in 7.63 mauser which was THE fastest handgun round in the world until the mid 1930s when .357 magnum came out. Broomhandles chambered in 7.63 mauser were popular with gangsters in the 20s and 30s because unlike almost any other handgun, they could shoot through car doors thanks to that high muzzle velocity.

Once WWI started and the Germans adopted the Mauser C96 as their other major military sidearm along with the luger, they had some of them chambered in 9mm luger since they were already geared up to produce lots of ammo in that caliber. To prevent confusion, those had a red “9” on the handle and are called red 9s as a result.

Chinese law in the warlord era in the 20s and 30s did not allow rifles to be imported into the country BUT pistols with shoulder stocks were allowed. The Mauser C96 with a standard shoulder stock was like a carbine and thus they were extremely popular in China with the various warlords and their armies. They even set up their own factories and copied western guns. One of the ones they made was a slightly larger version chambered in .45 caliber. The name for Mauser C96s in China is not Broomhandle, its “Box Cannon”. This especially applies to the ones chambered in .45 caliber.

Well, probably the best fun you can have in a non-multiplayer, IMO. If you like that sort of thing, I suppose.

I enjoy them. I just don’t have a lot of time. Maybe if I freeped a little less.

Mostly I play coop games with my college graduated kids usually when they are home. Every once and a while long distance.

Seriously? A altered broom handle?

Should’ve kept it original. Worth more.

That AR-15 pistol is probably chambered for the .22 LR rimfire cartridge. That is strictly a blowback mechanism, and therefore does not need a gas system. You can tell by looking at the area behind the ejection port door recess.

OOPS! I stand corrected. It is a manual bolt action, chambered in .300 Blackout.
