Basically they’re out of premium. Wholesalers only deliver premium and regular to the stations. There’s a pre-set blend for the pumps to take x% premium and blend with y% regular to make the mid-grade. Generally it’s 60% to 40%, but varies depending on brand.
Just paid $3.59 a gallon for 87 at Marathon in Franklin, Kentucky.

In coastal South Carolina, we have had two Parkers and the Sam’s Club shut down for the day, due to no fuel, within a five day period.
Those “I did that” stickers were pointing at meat prices at the local store. Employees were instructed to remove them immediately.
Yep, I’m hearing of other areas as well. Every day driving to work I get sick to my stomach thinking about this because I damn well know 10000% it’s coming, I damn well remember the Carter years. This time though it’s going to be so bad people are going to be shocked, in a daze.

Price’s in Miss.,Tenn., Arkansas & Missouri where under $4.00 a gallon cash price.
Illinois, Indiana, Ohio & Michigan above $4.00 a gallon. About a 0.30 cent difference.
