America was founded on the principles of capitalism. But there are those who think communism is the solution for every problem, from bad weather to old Joe's dementia. In their book, In Their Own Words, Terry Turchie and Donagh Bracken document that organizations such as the Weather Underground, the Black Panther Party, Occupy Wall Street, Black Lives Matter, and The Democratic Socialists of American have been agitating for communism for decades. We've even got one senator who spent his honeymoon in the Soviet Union and a whole squad of congresswomen who openly support it now. They don't use the word "communism" very often, but their manifestos and stated goals are 100 percent aligned with that ideology. Instead, they use seductive terms like "social justice," "guaranteed income," and "equality."
Capitalism vests ownership of property (along with the means of production) with the private sector. Members of the community are allowed to operate for their own individual interests — and those individuals get to keep the profits from their work. Hence, hard work is rewarded. With hard work and initiative, anyone can succeed. So people tend to work hard. Domestic product (the total production of the community) is maximized.
But the rewards are unevenly distributed. The portion of the domestic product that each person receives is a function of his contribution, not his membership in the community. The end result is that members of a capitalist community earn unequal portions of a very large pie.
Communism vests ownership of property (and the means of production) with the commune — otherwise known as the state. Members of the commune are expected to work for the benefit of the commune — not themselves. Each is to contribute according to his ability and receive according to his needs.

And today’s comrades believe in massive world-wide population reduction. And people still vote for them.
“America was founded on the principles of capitalism.”
True. One statement, one truth.
“But there are those who think communism is the solution for every problem, from bad weather to old Joe’s dementia.”
Second statement, first lie. There is no significant quantity of people here in America - and who else could you be talking to, really? - who think the US should be a communist country.
“In their book, In Their Own Words, Terry Turchie and Donagh Bracken document that organizations such as the Weather Underground, the Black Panther Party, Occupy Wall Street, Black Lives Matter, and The Democratic Socialists of American have been agitating for communism for decades.”
Third statement, second lie. BLM hasn’t even been AROUND for decades, and I guarantee you that if we were to eliminate racism they would fold up and go home smiling. They have no brief for communism. I knew a girl, back when OWS was a thing, who LOVED the movement - but she didn’t have one word to say about what they wanted or who thought so. I mean, that was why the movement folded, no one knew what they wanted; but they were not communists.
“We’ve even got one senator who spent his honeymoon in the Soviet Union and a whole squad of congresswomen who openly support it now.”
Fourth statement, who knows whether it’s true or not. It’s been a while since the Soviet Union was a thing, and what is it that this supposed “squad” of congresswomen actually are unified on supporting? Who knows. Wikipedia says the “Squad” “has been said to represent ... diversity ... and ... progressive policies” but that ain’t communism. Unverifiable.
“They don’t use the word “communism” very often, but their manifestos and stated goals are 100 percent aligned with that ideology.”
Fifth statement, third lie. “aligned with that ideology” is your key - these are weasel words that mean nothing. Political bearbaiting, nothing else.
“Instead, they use seductive terms like “social justice,” “guaranteed income,” and “equality.””
True. Six statements, three lies: man, you’re getting your news from the WRONG PLACES.
You know, I posted on gas prices recently, and I swear, 50% of the respondents - I didn’t count, I suppose that’s a lie - seemed to think high gas prices prove socialism is bad. I did a little reading and discovered that the price of a gallon of gasoline in Venezuela - surely more socialist than us - is 8 cents. Don’t judge a system by its gas prices, please. I sure don’t.
The only mature adults (and I use that term "mature" very loosely) that profess collectivism are those that use it to deceive followers into supporting a hidden agenda which leads to a totalitarian regime in which those "mature" adults rule the roost.
It's a tool...a lie.
It's a path right back to the good old plantation.
It is amazing that Blacks are capable of being fooled by such a ploy. People who fall for socialism are basically supporting their own slavery. They are saying "I'm for sale to a massa who will take care of me. And the price of ownership is just the promise of basic but equal care."
Capitalism is too stained by years of Marxist lies. Did word exist used as it is now when our nation was founded? I don’t think so.
“America was founded on the principles of capitalism.”
I would say no. America was founded on FREE MARKETS and freedom to own property. Capitalism is a more modern word that now has too many negative connotations.
Free Markets, freedom of property ownership (buying, owning, selling, etc.) is the foundational truth.
I too wish we would quit using the term capitalism which is a marxist term from the Karl Marx book “Das Kapital” published in 1867.
Who coined the term “capitalism”?
IF the existing laws on the books were enforced across the board capitalism would be entirely stable. The encroachment of socialism and the constant expansion of the first few programs (social security and welfare) have decimated our society and expanded government to the point where I see it as irreversible . Communism has no room for God as it is greed that permeates every step. May God smite these self serving heathens that implement these steps toward it.
See previous post - looks like Marx did.
Another reason to avoid it.
Pass the word to conservatives: abandon the word.
the word is FREEDOM.
That’s what all Dems and many Repub/RINO’s hate.
FREEDOM.
There is no true communism. There is only the same old command-and-control regime dressed up with words like “social justice”, “equality”, and “hail to the Master”. It is the politics of the anthill. Nobody overthrows the queen, or challenges the guardians. The workers simply do their duty, existing for a brief period, then they die and are disposed of by the other ants.
Except that people are not quite the same as ants. Every once in a while, unlike ants, a group of people will assault the guardians and overcome the queen, to establish a new hierarchy, in most instances just as oppressive as the old one, but with different players.
Occasionally, the revolution takes another turn, in which a new concept of individual rights is recognized, and a sort of democratic rule is established. But democracy, in and of itself, is an uncertain means of governing the tribe, or a clan, or a nation, as factions cannot agree to differing goals, and eventually a new strongman emerges, to stop all the bickering.
The further refinement of this concept, is to establish a representative republic, in which the great mass of people do not vote on each question that comes, but the factions each elect a representative to consolidate and assert a particular point of view, and the various representatives meet and discuss the options for compromise and resolution.
At least, that is the way it is supposed to be, until some certain of the representatives of the people start kicking down the carefully crafted and agreed upon set of rules and compromises, as we see happening on a regular basis nowadays. These irregular representatives no longer see the need for compromise and resolution, they would rather keep the issue, and with it, their grievances.
And with that, we have reversion to the same old command-and-control regime. Another name, different promises, maybe, but the same old switcheroo in which the promises are never meant to be kept.

As a weasel watcher myself,,,,
,., big red flag over that one.
Those groups ARE aligned and ARE communistic.
Straight forward statement of obvious fact , not weasel as you claim.
You are a new breed of weasel I haven’t seen before.
Portraying only 30 % weasel under 70% non weasel camafloge.
I might be wrong, but I doubt it.
Imho.
“Those groups ARE aligned and ARE communistic.

...you know, that’s the great thing about obvious facts... you don’t have to actually have any evidence!! How close do you have to be to communistic goals to be “aligned” with them, eh? An inch? Two inches? How do you measure that alignment? Carpenters have an easy job with that... political scientists, not so much.
As for me, I would say anyone whose goal is dictatorship of the proletariat, here in America, is a communist. Most BLMers couldn’t even start to define the phrase. They want an elimination of racism, period, the end.
Home team.
P.S. Christians and Communists both want to strengthen families... does that mean Christians are Communists? ...but their goals are aligned, right?

tagline
Socialism is just a fancy name for slavery. The RATS use it to make it sound like it’s just another “college” course.
Any endeavor at odds with human nature is doomed to fail..
Founders of BLM have explicitly stated that they are ‘trained Marxists’ and want to “dismantle the organizing principle’ of our society. Before they found themselves so much in the news and on the way to riches, their website clearly stated that they wanted to see the end of the nuclear family, along with a host of other anti-American goals.
hmm... well, one of the three founders of the BLM movement, Patrisse Cullors, clearly has had some involvement with Marxism. But being a trained Marxist isn’t like being a trained sniper... it doesn’t necessarily make you good at anything in particular. It doesn’t even mean you look forward to establishing the dictatorship of the proletariat.
And regardless of the founders’ orientation and desires, those who participate in the movement - those who actually do the work - would melt away into the bushes if their leaders a) began to advocate armed revolution or b) achieved an end to racism in the absence of any other social changes. Or so I believe.
If they did in fact modify their website to remove the attack on the nuclear family, that just indicates that they can see that that wasn’t going to fly. As it clearly isn’t. And if it isn’t going to fly, there’s really no point in worrying about it. To me, it’s what the mass of BLM protestors want that’s important, and that’s an end to racism.
And many of those ‘participants’ think that violent riots - causing an estimated $1 billion in damage - are a justifiable approach.
That sounds typically communistic to me.
