The store just raises prices. Kevin has to pay them.
The world did fine without police for thousands of years.
About 4 months.
This is what LEO should be doing.
How fast was Kevin arrested for attempted murder as a hate crime?
Does it really matter? Obviously this is the first any of us have heard about it..........
Since we can't rely on law enforcement and the store not willing to press charges, maybe it's time these perps get a beat down and the civilian hero's just fade away.........
As good as it may feel to strike a blow for decency, to drag the culture half an inch back from the edge, reality is this kind of activity can ruin your life. In the hands of the right lawyer perp will come across sympathetic and you like some bigoted vigilante monster.
The store is too afraid of a dozen thieves tearing up the whole store.
Replace that idiot Newsome out and name Kevin the new governor. Newsome is letting thieves steal $949 without so much as a stern talking to. LE refuses to write up store shoplifting complaints. Kevin is right, the rest of us have to pay higher prices.
Walgreens and similar has a policy of not intervening with thieves. They think it keeps them from liability I guess.
But what is their liability when customers start doing the job for them?
What if I try to stop a shoplifter and get hurt or killed?
They should just let their security people do their job. They have liability insurance for it.
Exactly right. You can’t have a police state without police.
Throughout most of history, governments left almost everyone pretty much alone — because governments could not track people, didn’t have databases, and didn’t have police. Being a peasant wasn’t a good thing, but you were pretty much left to your own devices.
Today, the government knows all, and if your social credit score dips, the police will come knocking.
If the store pushes chages it is almost a cerainty that the store will get sued by the perp and even if they win the suit it will cost them more than the stolen merchandise. Store managers look no farther than the immediate impact and do not see anything past that like overall reduced theft if thieves continually get busted.
Notice the thief had help, Kevin didn’t.
GOOD. Shoot him in the kneecap again.
